Today I learned that discombooberated‎ and cannonaded were in fairly regular usage in the late 50s to early 60s. I was recently watching The Twilight Zone, and I went, huh, what? How did I miss that?

    RIP, Rod Serling.

TIL, most electrical outlets have built in wire strippers for 12 and 14 gauge wire. Some also have a small hole so you can make the correct bend on the wire to attach to the terminal. This information comes about 500 outlets too late.

You're also supposed to install them "upside down", as shown here depending on grounding. Shout out to anyone with an old house with half of their outlets the "right way" and half of their outlets the "wrong way". Try plugging in a nightlight. It's hit or miss.
