I think the jets need to stick to what was originally said, and either consider giving McCarthy an interview, or hire spagnuolo.

Trick plays are fun until they cost you a chance at a comeback in a playoff game. I really genuinely think Ben Johnson will bust as a head coach.

There are no guarantees..but all our defensive Coaches have done nothing for us. Rex got us something ..but let’s change it up already. And Kingsbury was a HC for a bit as well I believe

You have to look at a coordinator's record and bad performances by their units should not be ignored.

But at the same time, it's a lot more complex than good performances by their unit = good head coach and bad performances = bad head coach.

Ulbrich to Atlanta as DC. Not that it has anything to do with anything.

Detroit gives up 45 points at home as the #1 seed.

Jets fans, please welcome the new HC of the NYJ former Lions DC Aaron Glenn.

    --- Woody Johnson.

Detroit did a remarkable job considering the staggering amount of injuries they had.

I figured it would catch up with them in the playoffs, mentioned I think Washington would win to my Dallas Cowboys fan postal worker yesterday.

That lateral toss/shovel pass running play was pretty badass though. I could see that getting copycatted and becoming a thing in the NFL next year.

Not so fast... I think Woody is actually going to hire his GM first. Then present him with a list of vetted HC candidates to choose from. I hope....

I heard that Brick Johnson is the leading candidate. He interviewed really well.

I hope so, since he is not coming here, but even with shit QB play yesterday they still put up 31. Ben seems legit. I think Detroit would step back without him. Last week TB gave up 23 points to Commies, including Baker's turnover in his own red zone. If Glenn managed to do the same, Detroit still wins, even with the pick 6. This whole Detroit rise has been carried by the offense. That's Ben Johnson - on the coaching side.

And that's the crazy part about the Jets HC search: Glenn appears to be the favorite, even though his team is winning because of offense, while he is coaching ... defense. And yes he inherited bad defense (just like Ben bad offense), he had injuries, but still 3 bad and one solid year, and overall in Detroit he is not the reason for their success. Offense is. And that was true even before yesterday's fiasco. So, why are we looking at a team that wins with offense and trying to get a defensive guy from there? We have to do better than that.

Jets havent interviewed McCarthy, Gruden, Carrol, or Kingsburgy who all are former coaches.

But let's hire the guy that was taken to pieces last night by a rookie QB. Makes sense SOJ.

Ya'll judging people's coaching potential off of one game or one play, is wild

Not one game. 4 years as a DC. And the record is not great overall in spite of solid season this year.

I kinda stopped watching closely in the second half but it seems like they were still trying to play man coverage with trash corners? Bad gameplan. Daniels also didn’t kill them running the ball but you generally want to stay away from man coverage against really dangerous rushing QB threats.

Very alarming stuff from Glenn game planning wise yesterday. A lot of that we’re playing our way no matter what suit that drove us nuts about Saleh and Rex.

Y'all still want Aaron Glenn? That was some of the worst play I've ever seen, just like last year's playoff choke. I'm not so sure this guy is a winner.

It doesn't matter if we get a rookie HC like Glenn, or Joe Pro from Championville. Until we get someone that can overcome the Johnsons, were never going anywhere.

As opposed to the ones staring a gifthorse of a HC with an overall winning record, a SB ring, a winning record with both franchises he coached, multiple playoff appearances and wins, and developed a HoF QB. Yeah let’s overlook all that too and judge a guy by the fact he hasn’t won what, 5 SB’s? Of course though, another unproven DC becomes a 1st time coach with us again. Oh and hey look at that, we’ll be looking to draft a QB for yhe former DC to develop because that makes all sorts of sense. It’s not like we haven’t tried it 10 friggin times already.

So here is a little twist on what i have been saying:
    Kliff Kingsbury as head coach
    Rex Ryan as defensive coordinator
Justin Fields as our starting QB

Rex is not coming here as a DC and he has also been out of the League for 15 years. I think that ship has sailed. For the other two, sign me up.
