I don't think there was any chance a dude like Vrabel would work for a limp dick like Woody. The guy had to be shamed into shaking Aaron Rodgers' hand during his intro presser a couple years ago, he's a puss. I just can't see Mike Vrabel calling Woody Johnson 'sir', he would probably burst into flames immediately out of embarrassment.
Yeah I don’t think Vrabel was coming here. He’s young enough to have been patient for a good landing spot even if it wasn’t this offseason. He already had to fuck around with the retread veteran QB and no real draft pick to landing a young QB for half a decade. I doubt he wanted to do that again.
Make him a godfather offer. Full control, top money, supportive ownership, four years. Offer expires when you walk out the door. Maybe they did that, but the fact that they called him later and offered full control indicates to me that they didn't. If you love him, why not?
