Why hasn't everyone been fired yet?

I know it's the worst kept secret in the world, everybody was fired the second the coach and then the GM were let go, but what are they waiting for to make it official?

Ot is it so stipulated that it's not even worth talking about?

Because they're planning to interview Ulbrich sometime this week. Would look bad to fire him and then interview him for his own job.

It's like a time paradox for employment. Have the role. Interview for the role. Don't get the role. Get fired from the role you didn't get

They’re waiting to see what the next GM and HC feel about keeping Hackett and Dowling to appease ARod.

It's so fucking bizarre... how is there any chance that this guy gets an interview for a job when every aspect of the team got WORSE when he was promoted to the position?!? LOL... it's like an episode of The Office

Ulbrich clearly showed that he wasn't up to the task. I think he's a good LBs coach, nothing more, nothing less, and probably even DC was a bit of a stretch for him that he got away with becuase the HC was so involved in it.

This is the correct answer. Ulbrich nice guy. LBs coach through and through. The end.

If they continue to appease ARod including retaining bad coaches I am pretty much done as a fan!!..Considering getting on ebay and auctioning off my old NY Jets jacket (good condition hardly ever worn lol)

I will keep my 1960 Jets Sweatshirt because it was a birthday gift from my son.

They're not going to hire a GM or coach who wants to keep Rodgers. It will be up to the new guys in those positions to determine if they want to use any of the current staff so there's no reason to blow anybody out, although that will probably happen as the new guys take over. I'm sure if any wish to resign in the meantime, they will be accommodated.

The Jets should NOT interview Ulbrich for the HC position. It's not honest on their part....and it's unfair to him.

He's not getting the job and if he weren't the (bad) interim HC of the Jets, he'd NEVER be considered for the job.

The only interview they should have for Ulbrich would be to ask him if he would come back as the DC. I think he is very good at that (at least with Saleh).

Why? He got thrown into a piece of shit situation as an interim coach with an awful lame duck offensive coaching staff, QB and his GM got fired shortly after his buddy head coach got fired.

Give the guy the courtesy and let him put on his resume that he got head coach consideration. He didn’t do anything wrong here.

Exactly. Woody threw Ulbrich into an impossible position, he can at least give him the courtesy of interviewing him for the job he threw him into with no time to prepare and with one hand tied behind his back with that awful staff that Ulbrich inherited. He's not going to get the job, but it would just create more dysfunction headlines if Woody didn't extend him the courtesy of an interview.

Imagine how awkward that Ulbrich interview will be? I wonder if Woody will let Joffrey run it like a practice interview. Here is your whipping boy, Joffrey. Look at his funny beard!

There's no courtesy in a sham interview.

No one has been fired yet because "someone" has to do exit interviews. I'm thinking that "Woody Jr." might too busy whipping up draft boards for the incoming GM to do them.
