In looks like unfortunately the 7th pick is not confirmed. We need Detroit to win to get that 7th pick. Otherwise Carolina gets the tie breaker since we played Minny and our strength of schedule would increase if they win, flipping the tie breaker to Carolina.
1st we gotta figure out who will replace the great Joe douglas, than we can speculate as who he will be picking with Woody and little Brick screaming in his ear like a 2 year old every second to ruin his thought process.
#7 is official now with Detroit win. We had the weakest strength of schedule out of all four 5 win teams.
Right now, the only agnostic pick I can think of is Tackle. Until they hire "whomever" for HC/GM, this pick is up in the air for any other position than tackle. If they go an offensive guy they could target offense and vice versa defense. It blows monkey ass that the line is still a complete pile of shit. Really forces the team to draft o-line no matter what. Let's face it, the position players aren't the worst this team has had before. But with that trash o-line (sans Olu) doesn't matter. Hey, at least they won't do something super stupid and draft a QB in the 1st round.
I've been so depressed about the Jets season I have done NO work on the draft or following college football this year. Plus, the 12-team CFP crap was the disaster I thought it would be so college football was a total turnoff, to be honest with you. In your guys opinions....who among that group (or anybody else we have a shot at #7) has the MOST UPSIDE and who is the LEAST RISKY (maybe a solid player but won't be a disappointment or bust for sure) ?
It doesn't matter where they draft. They could draft #1 or they could draft at whatever pick is the last one before the playoff teams pick, they're going to screw it up. And it'll be a spectacular screw up that only the Jets could pull off.
7th pick. The season begins now. Looking forward to the return of the five-paragraph shitposters who award the draft an A+ grade and predict a deep run into the playoffs.
Well, you are right about that. It's doubtful that the fans of well run organizations - the Ravens for example, care too much about what number pick they have.
Just get us someone who loves football and to win. Interview them and make sure the road will be a long one lol
My pick is Jalen Milroe QB, Alabama. We need a QB and this is a draft short on QB candidates. Milroe has talents in the category most similar to other successful QB's such as Jackson, Allen and now Daniels of Wash. He has blazing speed which will help until he learns how to throw in the NFL. In any event, he should be an exciting player to watch and if nothing else the Jets could use some excitement.
