Former Jets Coach Eric Mangini speculated that Rodgers is trying to get cut "The fact that Aaron brought up the, 'I've never been cut by a teenager, I've never been released by a teenager,' that's a direct shot at the owner," Mangini said. "That's legitimizing everything that's been said in that organization. That's making fun of how dysfunctional it is." Mangini continued: "So to me, as soon as he said that, in my mind said he wants out. But he doesn't want to retire, obviously. He wants to get paid and not have to deal with any of the givebacks that come with retirement,"
If you watch the replay of that throw to Yeboah, Rodgers had plenty of time to set his feet and make a good throw. It was a lazy effort and it pisses me off more that he yells at Yeboah afterwards
Just more proof that there is no possible way the Jets can bring back Rodgers without destroying what's left of the "team".
The only problem is the other teams have people that are going in the HOF in the future, we dragged one off a dusty exhibition stand and expected prime performance from him. Well some did.
If this despicable franchise lets him play next week and get his 500th touchdown to Devante. I will never ever watch another Jet's game in my life. Might be a good thing.
This isn't a "team" to begin with. They chucked that concept out the window with those stupid Mike White T-shirts a couple of years ago. Douglas assembled a collection of extremely overrated individuals who have never played together as a team.
Personally, I hope everything aligns for Miami to make the playoffs but Rodgers comes out guns blazing and tosses a frozen rope touchdown to every WR on the team... After the game he says this franchise is even more dysfunctional than he thought possible and it all starts at the top, Woody and his kid are just little weenies..... and he took Huyasca before kickoff and was tripping balls.
You're told to hate Rodgers by the media; so you do. Same shit Rex went through. It's not a good look.
He’s not the future for the Jets at QB, or even a meaningful stop-gap until the future QB is found. I don’t give a shit about him developing any hint of chemistry with the receivers. I’m not saying he shouldn’t play, just don’t pretend as if there is any meaningful future benefit of him building chemistry with the offense to the Jets by having him play.
I think I might respect Woody Johnson if he took a stand and requested Ulbrich to start Tyrod Taylor for the finale
It would accomplish exactly nothing other than needlessly insult the guy who is going to be our quarterback next year and make us less likely to win the game.
Name the newly hired veteran head coach who is taking the job because Jordan Travis is his quarterback instead of Aaron Rodgers.
actually every new GM and new coach wants to pick their QB. Its more unlikely that they want to be saddled with a 41 year old with strong opinions on how to build their team. Not to mention a weekly national TV show to share those opinions
