The Jets won't pick high enough to get Ward so I'm kind of hoping they win to save themselves from a Shedeur Sanders fiasco.
Dolphins win parachuted Carolina over the Jets due to SOS tiebreaker. Jets now 7th. Jets are guaranteed to pick no worse than 7th with a loss next week. The furthest they could drop with a win next week would be 10th.
If we are smart we’re either trading back, because our moronic GM ruined our draft capital. Or, we go after a guy like Jalen Mills or Kyle McCord or Jackson Dart and let them sit for a year behind Aaron. Jordan Travis and rookie battle it out in 26 unless we truly have a shot at a franchise QB.
In the end what is it the difference? Whether the pick is 1 or the last, nothing is going to change. We still have the same owner and we still have most of the same people in the building. They will hire somebody young inexperienced and cheap. They will go after the wrong coach and again this team will not win games. Just look at Minnesota and Sam Darnold, every genius in our building thought he wasn’t the guy and traded him. He went to a real organization that developed him and now he looks like he’s going to make a run at the playoffs. We take the best players and turn them into shit because of bad organization and coaching. That is not changing next year. Root for this team and support it because you’ve done it for many years don’t root for it cause you think somethings gonna change cause it’s not
I just hope the pick is high enough to land the best OT. No one prob wants to hear that, but Smith and Moses will be gone, and you’ve all seen Mitchell and Warren play. They need to go. That leaves only Olu coming off PF injury. Maybe take a flier at QB in round 2 to compete.
They should have a lottery in th NFL so we aren’t talking about tanking anymore. I don’t understand why they don’t, it’s the NFL you could have an hour long “draft lottery special” and get higher ratings than the NBA finals!
While highly unlikely, the Jets could get all the way up to the 2nd pick. The only team ahead of them they can't pass are the Pats as their SOS is much, much worse than ours. Getting that high would require the Jets to lose and these wins: Tennessee over Houston (possible, and somehow the Titans are 4.5 point favorites right now so bordering on likely as Houston may rest their starters) Cleveland over Baltimore (ain't happening, Ravens have to win to clinch the North) Giants over Philly (somewhat possible but probably not likely either, even if Philly rests everyone) Jags over Colts (neither team has anything to play for so no clue about this one but I'd say it's possible) Carolina over Atlanta (Falcons still have a shot at the South so probably not likely either) So highest (while very unlikely) is 2nd but a more realistic scenario with a Jets loss would be 4th-6th.
You serious bro? With the Jets luck you want to have a lottery?? We'd have the worst record and pick behind the super bowl champ
Moving backward is the Jets way. As for the question in the thread title, maybe the question we should be asking now is whether or not it's too early for a 2026 Draft Tankathon thread.
