Ok so you wouldn't want Joe Burrow either correct?

If you were a Bengals fan you would want to get rid of him correct?

But the record is is 6-8

The Saints had plenty of losing seasons with Brees. Basing everything on the record and ignoring all the other problems with the team is just very short sighted. Saints fans didn't do it. Bengals fans aren't doing it. Nor should we.

well I’m not basing everything on record. I think there’s more reasons beyond that why Rodgers should sent packing.

He's playing better statistically than any Jets QB in a long time but he's fucked up the rest of the team.

They could pull a random fan out of the stands and they would play better statistically than most Jets QBs in a long time.

That's why if he comes back it's not under his terms. If he can't accept it then he doesn't come back.

I bet the Chargers are glad they didn't dump Justin Herbert and realized there problems were far deeper than just blaming the QB despite their record being 5-12.

Goes to show coaching the entire team does matter and it's not all on the QB.

Joe Burrow is a red herring who has never won or lost a game for the NY Jets. He also has never attempted to manipulate coaching staffs or teammates on the NY Jets. He has never won a come from behind victory or gave up a fourth quarter lead for the Jets. The title of the thread contains the name Aaron Rodgers. no Joe of any kind because no Joe has anything to do with the topic at hand. Please stay on topic. I am not now, nor have I ever been a Bengals fan, so your hypothetical questions fail in many ways.

I dont understand how anyone can see the pure carnage that has occurred the past season with Rodgers and think they would like him back.

    because he beat lowly Jacksonville?

You said the record is the only stat that matters. Joe Burrows record is 6-8. You set the precedent by stating the record is the only stat that matters but now when I bring up Joe Burrow it does not appear to matter as you are looking for other reasons.

Just showing that your own logic of record being the only stat that matters does not hold up for even you.

Because coaching matters. This team has talent. Thats the reason why despite awful coaching they were able to beat Houston or were in position to beat Buffalo if not for the kicker.

Harbaugh once again is taking a team that was 5-12 and poorly coached last year to the playoffs. He did this with San Fran to, they were 6-10 and poorly coached and took them to the playoffs. Bring in proper coaching and give it a shot. This is quite possibly the worst coaching staff in the history of NFL so of course there is carnage.

Nagle im with you on that, thats why if he still wants to make FO decisions then he he should not be allowed back.

Hackett was his hand picked coach. Saleh and Ulbrich were not. Both were already here when he arrived. If he had told the Jets they needed to change head coaches when he got here it would make him look even worse than he does currently with Hackett in regards to him making front office decisions.

If Hackett or any of our current Offensive coaching staff is still employed next year by the Jets in any capacity that would be where I finally draw the line with this team. You wanna keep Rodgers around to hold the fort while we rebuild, sure, make it work monetarily. But if any demands come with that then see you later.

    This is it^

The Jets accommodated Rodgers as you normally do with QB’s of his calibre even at an advanced age. But he burned that bridge here. I’m seeing our QB options dwindling fast for 2025 even in the stopgap capacity and we have to pay him regardless. I wouldn’t hate him back.

As annoying as it would be, having a veteran stop gap like him for a year or two would probably be more enticing to veteran coaches than having some starting rookie that knows nothing tarnishing the beginning of their tenure. I don't know about that money though.

I don’t think we’re getting a good first round rookie either. Next year lines up as Josh McCown 2017 all over again if we cut Rodgers loose.

Funny enough that season was pretty fun all things considered.

There's always combine darlings that dumb teams like the Jets always draft in off years. We're not that far removed from Zach Wilson and the same dumbfucks will be calling the real shots.
