It can be done, and he did this before when he just started, but making shit up about him, like all this Madden BS, doesn't help if it turns good GMs away. Look, we are all pissed off about last 14 years, and it is a very long time. But we have another chance. We should have had this chance last year, but Woody fucked up not firing JD and Saleh then. And it absolutely does matter who you bring in. Woody doesn't meddle as much as they make it sound. And even according to the Athletic meddling started after 6 years of failure. It's just that Woody should have fired them and never meddled, but if a new GM comes in and succeeds, there won't be a need to meddle. Tanny and Rex were good. It IS possible. Two conf finals. You may not remember, but we made play-offs under Herm and won multiple play-off games too. Mangini made play-offs. Rex obviously. All under Woody. We can get back to that. But we do need to hire right people, it can happen again, but Russini does not help with obvious bullshit she is spewing about the Jets.

Btw, Brian Costello just refuted the Madden story. And it's not like he is the fan of the Jets. Said the trade for Jeudy didn't happen because the Jets offered a pick plus Lazard, while Cleveland offered just picks, so Denver liked Cleveland offer better. Jeudy also called Madden thing fake news. Look, I get it, it's LOL Jets, Woody sucks, etc... But this Athletic story is BS, just like others with Rodgers benching, and so on. Russini is not a good reporter. Unless there is someone else outside of Athletic to corroborate, cannot be trusted.
The spokesperson we're referring to was responding to the claims made in this Russini article. This is someone who is trying to cover for Woody, and even they didn't deny that the Mike White thing happened, just that Woody apologized.
Again, whether this article is 100% true or not is irrelevant. It's probably not entirely true. But it's filled with so many ridiculous and outlandish claims that even if a small fraction of them are true it's completely damning for us.
True or not, the Jets organization is so messed up and that in itself makes it possible to believe a good chunk of it.
exactly 24 years in and every gm/ coach has gotten canned in a brief amount of time, many coaches and gms that came from winning organizations, if your boss thinks he is smarter than everyone else and doesn’t let you do your job your helpless. I mean clearly we see ulbrich sucks, but a lot of these coaches show promise when they come here and all of them fail. There has been a million reports about saleh and woody getting into heated arguments, woody wanting Rodgers while saleh and jd wanted Carr, etc. constant reports of him interfering all of them can’t be false
