Visiting family in the US over Christmas and coming through NY so made the decision to take a couple of nights and get tickets for the game way back in July… At that point with our “Super Bowl bound rosta” it was hard to conceive we’d already be out of playoff contention for weeks/months! Still here we are irrelevant as usual! I have the wife and kids in tow so we’ll be at the game freezing our asses off in seats we could have bought on the day for $200 less. The life of a jets fan. It’s the kids first visit to NY and first visit to Met Life so for their sake I’m hoping for a fun experience and some entertainment. So for purely selfish reasons screw the draft - let’s get a win ps any tips for pre-game tail gate type experiences that aren’t heavy on the alcohol and mad party style? We did the Gotham City Crew one last time which was good but probably not suitable for teenagers!!
Don't worry my friend. You are visiting New York and what is better than tailgating at Metlife regardless of team's success. Enjoy your tailgate. Bundle up. Google "Tailgate Joe" if you want. He has a decent tailgate. Even though it is pricey, it is very convenient.
Who will win? The people who choose not to watch this debacle of a team play. Maybe Woody could do a giveaway at the game where the 3,000th person through the gate gets to become the new GM. Couldn't do worse that way than he would be hiring any of the people he's interviewed so far.
The Jets got the draft-fucking bug out of their system with last week's win. They'll lose this week and in Buffalo, only to relapse and beat the Dolphins in the last game.
The Los Angeles Rams are going down this coming Sunday. It should be a great game and much fun to watch. I'm looking forward to it. These last 3 games should all be fun to watch Stafford vs Rodgers, Rodgers vs Allen, Tagovailoa vs Rodgers now that it appears that Aaron Rodgers is finally coming into his own as NYJ starting QB. To me it' something VERY VERY exciting it's a small glimpse into what 2025 and beyond(?) could look like for the Jets if they make the right decision to bring back Aaron Rodgers AND they hire the correct people GM/HC/assistants.
It is wild that you can't even give tickets away - I remember the summer of 23 when you couldn't get a ticket to the practice games as there was so much hype and hope.
How the not-so mighty have fallen. My soccer team (Newcastle) doesn't let people join a waiting list for season tickets any more as the timeframe was so long that unless someone signed you up as a baby it was never going to happen during your lifetime (which is quite impressive given they haven't even had any success since 1969 so very Jets like in that regard).
