So we are the NY Jets and once again we need to draft a Quarterback. Now last year I really wanted Bo Nix as I thought he was the best quarterback prospect in college football and in my opinion deserved the heisman. It would have been a perfect choice as he sat behind ARod for a year and had even more time to develop.

Now…. We will probably sign a veteran and draft a kid. Or most likely because we are the Jets we draft a kid and throw him to the wolves game 1 and completely obliterate his confidence like we did with Sanchez, Geno, Darnold and Wilson. Anyways that’s besides the point of this post.

Jaxson Dart is the best quarterback prospect in the draft this year. He reminds me of Justin Herbert with his gameplay when Herbert was at Oregon. His body type is a strong stocky build and is 6’2” tall. His ability to throw intermediate passes with velocity and accuracy is his best attribute from the pocket. Not afraid to pick up the first down with his legs but wants to carve you up from the pocket. He’s a gamer and wants to play. When Lincoln Riley brought Caleb Williams to USC Dart didn’t want to be a backup he wanted to play and transferred to Ole Miss and it was an excellent move for his career.

Major Arm but not sure if he is the best decision maker. Great deep ball but not sure if he’s good enough intermediate passes.

would be a project tbh. Two years sitting. Reminds me a lot of Spencer Rattler who struggled mightily this year.

For me he’s more a Favre that definitely needs time to sit and develop but has that gamer “it” to him. He’s definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer but makes up for it with his arm and will to win

That's fair.... but he'll need a "QB guru" to bring the "Gamer" out of him, and not the moronic blind chucks..... and The JETS sure aren't the place for that to happen ;)

I don’t love or hate Dart but I think he’s worth a crack in the mid rounds because he has good physical skills, has played a lot of big time football in the SEC and I think he’s very coachable.

I wouldn’t take him before the 3rd though and I agree he has to sit.

Love Kyle McCord. Nobody is mocking him at all. Led nation in passing.

I'm seeing mock drafts with Jaxson Dart at the end of round 2. We won't have our own 3rd round pick - its going to the Raiders for Davante Adams. We do have Detroit's 3rd round pick ----- likely to be in the mid-90s.
I like Dart early in the 3rd round if we trade down & he's available. But I also do like Kyle McCord myself. As of now, - McCord is projected 6th or 7th round.

Not sure how you wouldn’t take McCord that late. He has a big arm and definitely wings the ball around.

He’s made a lot of dumbfuck decisions when I’ve watched him though and he’s pretty immobile. Back to back pick 6’s against Pittsburgh and just a dreadful game against Stanford despite a big stat line yardage wise.

Sometimes he reminds me of Baker, sometimes he reminds me of Case Keenum.

Garrett Nussmeier just announced he's headed back to LSU for his senior year.
Props to you JV, - you said midseason he should go back for his Sr. year.

He might float around some Heisman considerations and/or top ten pick next year so no brainer to play another year.

McCord can flat out play. Dart seems to be the one with some read issues. McCord struggles a bit with pressure but he’s done well at two schools now.
