Please for the love of god let this somehow happen NEWS: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is the STRONG FAVORITE to buy the New York #Jets and be their next OWNER, per @BovadaOfficial . Bezos is worth over 230 billion dollars and has been interested in purchasing an NFL franchise for years. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/n...ck-favorite-buy-New-York-Jets-Commanders.html
Woody is an attention whore and he will never sell the team. Show me another billionaire going on twitter and announcing the jersey colors weekly.
if bezos offers him well above market value he will sell, just like with good coaches money talks, every man has his price and yes that’s every man. Woody will be the center of attention and the social club when he sells a team that is worth 6 bil for 10 bil and gets a 20x return and shows all his friends what a shrewd businessman he is.
The "JETS" logo will be changed to his flying space penis.... "Catch all your JETS games.... on Amazon PRIME... for 29.95"
Isn’t that a conflict of interest? Not like there aren’t casino owners that own professional sports teams alongside sportsbooks or fucking ESPN owning their own and all. But I don’t see how it’d be ethical for him to own streaming rights to games and a team. I’m sure it’d work out better than limp dick and he’d hire professionals but I doubt this happens.
Woody will never sell. Makes no sense for him to. He's sitting on a goldmine. The best that we fans can hope for is that he hires competent Front Office and Coaches.
The offer would have to be extremely above the 6 billion the Jets are worth, like I said money talks. I think at this point even Woody realizes he is a moron of a Nfl owner and doesn't know what the fuck he is doing, hence hiring a consulting group as a last gasp. This guys have big egos, they don't wanna be known as a failure and a poverty franchise like the Jets.
I'd rather have Elon Musk buy the Jets. We'd still suck... but the lunacy factor would be entertaining.
I keep seeing people say this - the Jets make an operating profit of about $114m a year - if he sold it for $6bn then almost any investment he chose to make would be bringing in around $600m a year and so would be far more lucrative.
It's never stopped the NFL before. Rules are rules...until they get in the way. Doesn't really matter, though. Woody's not going to sell. And I'm not sure I'd want Bezos running the team anyway.
Flash forward a few years. Woody is drooling and wheezing his last dying breaths in an empty room as monitors beep weakly. A nurse strolls in and scrunches her nose. She says, "Uh-oh... is someone's diaper full?" She assumes Woody can't hear her, but a sly smile appears on his face as he thinks: Full of gold, bitch.
