I'm with you on just about everything...

Have to agree, any blind squirrel could have called it that Zach Wilson was going to, more than likely, blow in the NFL. Just like I called Anthony Richardson with the Colts. You watch, that kid will be lucky to be a backup by his 5th year, just like Wilson. I'm tired of these kids lighting it up at the combine, preceded by barely enough college starts to even CALL themselves starters, getting drafted higher than the 3rd round. Shit, Trey Lance, now with the Cowboys, STILL hasn't started 20 games...since HIGH SCHOOL and he's on his second team!!!!! In that respect I'd love a shot at the draft because clearly the "professionals" have their heads up their asses.

As far as the firing goes, me, personally, I'm 50/50 on whether Douglas should have been fired. Yeah, the record blows and, at the end of the day, it's usually all that matters. The question I really have is how much of that is due to ownership meddling? As you stated, he did alright in the draft, for the most part. Once you get the kids in you simply can't fault the GM for injuries and lack of availability. Of course, then there is the coaching aspect.

My problem is Wood-RUFF. If that fucker hadn't opened his yammering skull cave and started poking his nasty little non-football nose where it didn't belong THEN I would be fully comfortable throwing Douglas out with the bathwater. As it is, it's QUITE clear for, at least the last 2 years (3 maybe), Wood-RUFF has been dicking with the team and then he wants to hold Douglas accountable? Granted, if all things went as we "think" they did, the coaching is on Douglas. If that's the case, it's also on Douglas to have FORCED Saleh to make offensive staff changes. Again, problem there is Hackett. I'd really like to know the timeline of Hackett. Was Wood-RUFF in the process, already, to go after Rodgers and then told his FO to get Hackett, seeing as he was canned from Denver for doing such a bang up job with a future HoF'er in Wilson (who seems to be doing quite well in Pittsburg) and Wood-RUFF wanted one more + on his "go get Rodgers" list? Or, was Hackett a stand alone hire and, only then, was it determined to go get Rodgers? If, and that's a BIG IF, common sense prevailed, it's my feeling Douglas/Saleh wanted no part of Hackett but was forced by Johnson. If that's the case the Douglas/Saleh are a casualty of Wood-RUFF. If not, then Douglas should never be GM again.

At this point, it's all water under the bridge and the REAL asshole that needs to be fired will never be so.

    See what?

Ben Johnson would have to have his HEAD examined to choose the Jets. To be quite frank, my guess would be Jacksonville. I have a feeling that position will be open before too long. That's another underachieving team, difference is they have a potential F-QB if they can undo the damage that was done by Urban Meyer. You'd think Petersen would have but something's been "off" with that guy since he left Philly.
