So many good games this week. It starts with Redskins-Eagles tonight. Ravens @ Steelers Chiefs @ Bills Two very nice AFC games on tap.
How many X-Jets in this game tonite? I bet Dan Quinn thanks his lucky stars he didn't take the Jets' offer.
The Eagles keep pulling Becton away from his spot when the runner goes through that gap. Like they don't want him near the point of attack.
I have the Saints and Browns on one of the Sunday Ticket multiviews and for two shitty teams I really do appreciate how much these teams are trying to bomb the ball down the field. At 2-7 and 3-7, why not? It’s way more worth it than the Jets brand of dink and dunk bullshit.
JK Dobbins flying around on that surgically repaired Achilles like a spider monkey. But I guess he's not 41.
Giants have finally done the inevitable, and benched Daniel Jones. Interestingly enough, they've promoted Tommy DeVito to starter, rather than the guy they gave $5 million to to be the backup, Drew Lock. I understand the appeal of starting the local folk hero, and the possibility of seeing whether he should be on the team next year (Lock and Jones clearly won't be), but gee, think they could have used that money for, say, Saquon Barkley? Just one more reason that Schoen will likely be joining Daboll on the unemployment line after the season.
Stuff like this and the Pats tanking last season make me think it's pretty commonplace for franchises to side-fund lame duck coaches and GMs to tank the rest of the season with the knowledge they won't be back.
The Cowboys drafted well for the better part of the last couple decades despite a lot of mediocrity, but boy have they really screwed the pooch on building this team out. Can’t believe Rico Dowdle is who they went with as their bell cow. They also made a dumbass mistake letting Mike Zimmer run the defense instead of promoting Al Harris. Harris is someone the Jets should look at adding to their staff if he’s cut loose with the mass firing the Cowboys go through.
