The next QB the Jets need to draft should be a 6-year college starter with every NCAA record for passers.
In that case, let's trade down multiple times next year to secure some picks for next year. I think we can treat next year as throw away year and get rid of some bad contracts and prep for a rebuild in 2026.
The next few season are going to be throwaway years. This team is not going to be even capable of being competitive until the coaching staff that replaces the next one is hired.
Strictly for entertainment (money) purposes. Don't let Vegas and the media fool you. This team needs to be in full tank mode right now but they won't be.
2026 we can tank for arch manning, guy has a 180 rating at 19 years old, and Aaron Rodgers will surely hang it up by than, but the jets will even ruin him, so nothing to look forward to
Cam Ward is too stupid to throw the ball away instead of taking sacks.. we've been there many times, it never ends well. if he's that stupid in college it only gets worse in the pros.
This could all be a moot point, if Woodrow extends JD's contract I can't even feign interest in what that idiot does in the draft for a QB or his next HC hire...
It can get especially worse when drafted to a team as poorly run and coached as we are too. His floor drafted here is likely lower then Zach's imo.
This is the first season in a long, long time that I couldn't care less about tanking. The only reason I ever want to tank is so that we can get a hall of fame QB. Well? We've got one. And we still suck. A hall of fame QB isn't fixing ownership problems.
I mean what? we “got one” that’s 41 years old. He’s going to the hall of fame for what he did with a different organization the draft is about young players
So get one every year until something clicks. Did it hurt to have both Hackenburg and Petty at the same time? If only they listened to me and kept Darnold when they drafted Wilson we could have had a 3 INT day today.
