I’m really surprised how some folks think we’re actually running this back again next year with Rodgers and co, so I figured it’d be fun to have something to look back on. Maybe those guys are right, so I’ll look pretty stupid with my predictions but here we go: 2025 GM: Joe Douglas or new GM? I personally feel we will be hiring a new GM. 2025 HC: are we keeping Ulbrich? Are we hiring a new HC but forcing Hackett and co to keep and appease Rodgers? Or are we hiring a new HC with an entirely new offensive and defensive staff? I believe new coach, new staff 2025 QB: Rodgers with Hackett and Co, Rodgers with new OC, Rodgers is gone completely via retirement or trade? I believe Rodgers will negotiate a retirement deal that gets him paid upon retirement but gives us some relief from his cost if he were active. Lay out your predictions here.
Rodgers will be back as a passing of the guard type QB. IMO In the end, who gives a fuck? This team sucks. This team has always sucked since I've been alive. I'm an idiot for ever picking this sad sack of shit excuse of a team as my favorite team. Fuck them. Fuck, Woody. Fuck the NYJ. Wake me when something good happens. It probably won't be In my lifetime, so, I should be well rested at least. Fucking joke of a team. I'm just disgusted. It's unreal that a team can get It wrong so consistently. Unbelievable.
i think rodgers and co will win just enough games to fool woody into thinking "just one more year", and besides the picks and cap space are not set up for a proper rebuild; whether JD is in charge I'm not sure but he's very successully convinced his bosses that the losing record of this team is not his fault thus far. What's one more year of shitty drafting and poor FA acquisition?
I'll play... New GM. Hopefully Douglas is gone early and Johnson gets some real help in picking his successor. The earlier the better because the guy coming in is going to have to pick their... ...New HC. No reason not to get the process started early. It doesn't really matter if a couple of coaches hang around or all get blown out. Rodgers? Who cares? He's in or he's out but there's no need to work around his wishes. Jets draft a QB early and stick his ass on the bench for a year or two. Pick up some journeyman or stick with Taylor; it doesn't matter because there will be no expectations at all except to rebuild the foundation before the building actually falls down completely. Come out swinging in 2026 aided by not spending an extra dime in 2025.
Shit team with worst sports media team on the globe. No media hates their team more. Imagine being in a small market where your media team loves you no matter what.
I’m hoping that they clean house. New GM, HC, and Rodgers gone. Still hoping the NFL will pressure Woody the idiot, to field a competitive team. Woody’s ownership has taken its toll on my excitement for this team. Throw in the joke officials, in bed with gambling, it’s opening new doors. Instead of anxiously awaiting my Jets game, I now decide if I really want to watch anymore.
We'll make a late season run this year. Just miss the playoffs but beat the phins in the final game knocking them out. In the fervor of the win Woody will announce that everyone returns in 25.
^ The AFC really is pretty bad this year, I could see the Jets maybe squeaking into the playoffs in week 18 before something catastrophic happens in the WC round. Then Joe could get an extension.
There is absolutely nothing in place right now, beyond the the same exact annual reemergence of in-season fan frustration that has existed for decades now, that would even hint at a team consideration of moving off Aaron Rodgers in 2025. Until you got more then that zero it really should be surprising anybody. As it stands today: 2025 GM: JD is brought back for 1 more year. Since it will be deemed to much a potential headache to bring in a new guy for 1 season and who would basically be coming in to be the same yes man for Aaron Rodgers. 2025 HC: Doug Peterson (I hope). Vet coach paired with a vet QB who, on the surface at least, will present a united front. This will also end up helping to offset a lot of the cries to have Hackett fired as the team's OC, as many will just chalk this up as it being Doug's show on offense (that is getting an upgrade from a mostly failed hype boy Trevor Lawrence who Doug never had a choice on). 2025: Aaron Rodgers. Aided by another optimistic amount of tweaks to the offensive line that includes the drafts #1 OL prospect falling to us when like 6 of the teams currently ahead of us in the top 10 spot projection raise the ante on last year's QB Reachfest.
Pederson will get one more chance as a head coach. He's not going to waste it by tying it to Douglas and Rodgers.
Not sure he gets his pick of options on that. He's also not really in a career position spot imo where you turn what HC opportunities do get offered if the alternative leaves you sitting on sidelines indefinitely hoping for another offer to pop up.
