I'm kind of sick of whining about this wasteland of an organization so, to switch it up and give everyone a break from NY Jets nightmare land, I wanted to discuss QB's. More specifically, the scrambling QB...

Is it just me or are any of you noticing the RIDICULOUS amount of yards these QB's are gaining, when they scramble, because defenders are AFRAID of hitting them, period, and getting penalized or fined??

I mean, damn! In our own game, Maye takes off down the sidelines and he should have been fucking obliterated but, NOOOOO...our guys too worried about taking a penalty, do NOT touch him and, instead of going out of bounds, the little asshole gets another almost TEN yards more! Saw it during the 49'ers game later on and have been witnessing it EVERYWHERE!

Saw Mahomes pull the same bullshit, last week, during the 49'ers game. Little fucker was popping down the sidelines, gave the "feign" he was going out of bounds and, because the defenders aren't allowed to touch the "glass assholes," picked up another 15 yards at least!

Now, I'm all for, when they are standing in the pocket, not hitting the knees or a club to the head but when those assholes tuck that ball and run. YOU-ARE-GOING-TO-GET-LIT-THE-FUCK-UP!!!! At least that's how it should be! Yeah, I played strong safety two lifetimes ago so I'm definitely on the defenses side with this but it's getting distinctly out of hand lately and I'm kind of done seeing it. Is it just me or....??

Thought it would be nice to talk actual football for a change...

The only problem is for those who cannot tell the difference between the green of the field and the white of the sidelines; where to tackle them and where to leave them alone.

Yeah defenders do seem more timid in general with QBs. But if you’ve got someone running 20 yds a clip someone’s gotta pop him. As long as you’re not near the red zone of course. Worst case they get an extra 15 yds but the QB is going to think twice the next time he sees daylight.

I thought this post was going to address Rogers’ lack of scrambling. I believe the young QB, Martinez, should have packages. A Running QB poses a threat that we don’t have. There were many 3rd down plays that could have been converted to first downs if Rogers could run.

Agree 100% with the OP, that one of Mahomes was infuriating because he has been doing it his whole career. Defenders should crunch him next time he does that feign out of bounds, he really should be called as having given himself up by the refs. If not, he is fair game.
