    I still like the colors.
    Woody can eat my asshole.
I haven’t given that team money since the new stadium. we dropped our season tickets
    We’ve had since shea

oh that’s a lie. I bought a ticket at the stands once. It was a waste.

I really hope woody meets an ugly demise. Some type of colon ailment or parasites of the asshole.
He is the greatest evidence in favor of the estate tax and against evolution.
even the other owners don’t like him.

That is the gist of it all, isn't it? Football men who want to win football games do not come to the NY Jets. ALL of them, who I feel are decent enough, ultimately end up choosing different destinations. Why? Because they KNOW that the ownership, culture...hell, the history are of a losing organization. Men who want a FUTURE in the sport steer clear of the NYJ at all costs. Yeah, there may only be 32 jobs on the planet, but if one of those jobs is of an absolute certainty to end your career, you do the best you can to not bother at all. All we have to go on is history but it's enough.

Agree, completely. I see people here clamoring for Mike Vrabel. I say there is no way in hell that happens.

Mike Vrabel was groomed in the "Patriot Way". He saw firsthand as a division rival how completely laughable that the Jets were as an opponent and an organization. You think he's going to risk failing a second time coming to work for this dipshit of an owner. Absolutely no way.

You know, from what I'm seeing this year and if the landscape stays the same my guess is Vrabel either ends up in Las Vegas, NY Giants or Jacksonville. My guess is Jacksonville. That team is essentially "discipline" away from being very very good.

Jacksonville is a good guess. Aside from the Jets, they may be the most disappointing team based on the gap between talent and results. 2 years ago, I thought they were going to be the next team to pose a real challenge to KC.

I never thought Vrabel should have been fired. He will land somewhere next year for sure. Just not here, unfortunately.

I will always be a Jets fan, it’s been too many years to walk away now. Couldn’t change teams if I wanted to….and trust me, I’ve thought about it. But I turn on every game, see how they look, and if they have that lethargic, heartless, clusterfuck look to them I just turn the game off and do something else. Life is too short to waste time watching that heartless shit show. Other than the Jets, I have no interest in the NFL at all except for playoff time. The officiating sucks and the game is being diluted to the point you might as well make it flag football pretty soon.

My football fix comes from college ball now. I watch as a fan of 3 or 4 teams and enjoy most Saturdays. :)

I would love mark cuban to buy this team. Who else would be a good owner?
If he ever leaves politics, I think Vladimir Putin would be fun.
The Facebook nerd might make us functional but I don’t like him.
Elon no fucking way, he’s like white Kanye. Can’t trust him. Always doing something crazy.
    Leonardo DiCaprio?
    Matt Damon?
I look up some non famous rich too.
    Maybe one of the pritzkers.

Yep, and they just approved a HUGE new stadium project; granted it'll probably be a few years out (Jags will be playing in Gainesville during construction) so Shad Khan will really be wanting butts in those seats....

I've not stopped being a fan but I don't make mad efforts to watch games now.

I'm in the UK and we have so many Prime Time games this year that I really can't be bothered to make the effort to get up for a 1.30am K.O. just to watch the team stink up the pitch again.

On a happier note Tankathon currently has the Jets picking at 4 in the 2025 draft!

I'm with you on College ball. Saturdays have become my football nirvana with 4 game splitscreen on YouTube TV. It's really nice to watch a good game without being too emotionally invested. Not in love with all the effects of conference realignment, transfer portal and NIL but the quality of the games is still really good. Wish the season was longer (well, I guess it's about to be with a 12 team playoff! ).

You should hold out until they at least put a real name on that team.

The media doesn't give you anything - they just lay it out there like a buffet and you get to decide if you're going to put it on your plate.

    this

you'd be amazed how much your analytical skills improve ( once you are not trying to force your brain into thinking an ok player is REALLYU GOOD ...b/c he's a Jet.... or that players making bad plays are actually making bad plays and there are no excuses like we make for Jets)

That's one way to look at it and that way I'd never want the guy. The other way of looking at it is wanting the guy who is tough enough, strong enough and confident enough in himself to say "I don't care at all what that team has been, I know that I can turn that piece of crap into a diamond and I can't wait to get started!"

I don't want a guy who fears the past: I want the guy who is ready to attack the future!

Probably the best 2 examples of what you're talking about - Parcells and Rex Ryan.

I should probably be banned for this opinion but, I'd actually consider giving Rex another shot. Just goes to show I've given in to nihilism at this point!

No. Those may be the type of guy, but their own time has come and gone. I want the smart young guy whose mind set is just a bit tougher, a bit smarter.

I love that bill belichek is shitting all over the jets on pt macafee.
The shame he is putting right on woody. It’s awesome. Maybe woody will commit seppoku. Or however it’s spelled.
Social shame should be a stronger force in our society.
Really there is no path forward with woody.

Fan of over 50 years. Turned 60 earlier this year. In the last few years, I’ve come to the realization that there is a very good chance I will never see a Super Bowl champ. I will always root for them but I don’t live and die with it anymore. I don’t scream at the television. I don’t watch or listen to every pre and post game like I used to. But I watch every game, at least until mid December…..every fuckin year!

Really though, what is worth analyzing? This is boring football punctuated by incompetence. If it was simply a matter of lack of execution then there would be some analysis, but the office personnel and coaches are a bunch of people who aren't qualified to do their jobs and prove it every week. We don't even know if the players are worth salvaging because they show up listless and non competitive for at least 2 quarters a game but sometimes more. It's like an engine with 15 components and 11 of them are factory defects.
