Unfortunately my soccer teams (England and Newcastle) have also not won anything during my 50+ year lifetime so I have never enjoyed any sort of reflected team sport glory - at this point I do think it may be me.

Would have been nice for the Yankees to bail us out of the misery this year, or the Mets for the Mets fans….. but nooooooo

My family has had season tickets for 43 years. I’ve been going to games my entire life. I’d say I can clearly remember 35+ years of attending Jets games and being a die hard Jets fan. That said, I couldn’t agree more with you.

I used to think a Super Bowl would make it all worth it, and in some twisted way, the suffering was a part of our fabric (i.e., Red Sox, etc).
But the pain and anguish that this organization continues to inflict on me, and now my kids, for over 30+ years is unmatched. Truthfully, I’ve become numb. A game like today would have had me screaming, yelling and sick for the ensuing week. However, I knew exactly what was going to happen today, because I’ve seen it year after year after year. I couldn’t help but laugh, not only when the patriots scored, but when the Jets managed to “Jets” the last 22 seconds.
And there’s no hope because we’re right back where we are every year. Time to blow it up, rebuild, and start from the ground up. Problem is, what gives any fan any reason to believe that this time they’ll get it right? The owner is a total moron and the organization is a dumpster fire.

My six year old son decided as of last year that he loves the lions. I Looked at him today and said “Coley, let’s go Lions. I am done with the Jets.”

40+ years of (six) season tickets, PSL‘s and all the money dedicated to this organization, I’ve reached my breaking point. The jokes on me. I get, it just took me too many years to believe it.

The Jets and Spurs are the only pro sports teams I follow anymore. The Spurs because they are a class organization that does things the right way even though the NBA is starting to look more and more like a fixed product.

The Jets are basically morbid fascination at this point, but I have found it difficult to care more and more over the years. It seems more or less like the accepted reality that the Jets are the team that will lose, and with the NFL's officiating beginning to resemble the NBA, I think I'm closer to ghosting professional sports altogether.

I definitely feel the same. I got into sports in 95 so btwn the Mets, Jets, Knicks, Rangers. I'm zero for 114 luckily with soccer I got in late enough in life where I just root for the game.

After 50 years a fan, I feel like it's time to let go. Pure misery. There's not much else to say.

I'm reasonably confident I will outlive Woody Johnson so I have to remain a fan at least that long.

Apathy has already set in for me. Been a fan since the early days at Shea. Was a STH at the Meadowlands up until they moved to MetLife.

I'm about to change my allegiance... I'm ready.

I sincerely hope we can all get out. No one deserves this team.

The best thing I can recommend is finding a hobby to do on Sundays. Go and get outside and get away from this team.

If you enjoy watching football, watch Redzone. Enjoy the game and the product. Redzone is great if you play fantasy, become a fan of players.

I've rarely watched the games since the Sanchez/Rex years turned into a weekly soap opera of embarrassment. Primetime is about all I watch as I just can't do it anymore, but I love football. I don't miss a game. I can't switch teams, but I also can't watch this team be a joke week in and week out.

As others have said it's time to hit Woody in the pockets. Do not renew your tickets, do not buy merchandise, don't even go to their website or click on the hype propaganda. Guy has the nerve to raise ticket prices for next year after this bullshit.

I wish everyone the best with whatever they decide to do with this team week in and week out

Losing to the Pats today.. see ya!

Na in all serious I think I'll always be a fan but I'm finding it hard to care. I knew the season was over last week and I was enraged but now I just find it funny

As the years have gone by, I have found myself watching less and less of Jets Football and Football in general.

As my father said, "If you're not enjoying watching the games, then why do you watch them?"
Let's be honest, over the past few decades, the Jets have not given us anything that we could enjoy.

I'll never stop being a Jets fan but I'm not going to go out of my way or spend any money to watch or follow them.
Maybe if they start to put a real competitive team on the field I'll try to watch a little more; but for now, no.
