The Steelers have always been a nightmare for the Jets. Perhaps this will change this weekend. Keeping TJ, not to be confused with JJ Watt away from Rodgers will be a key. Adams is considered one of the best route runners in the NFL. His knowledge and experience might be valuable in teaching the rest of the Jets receivers how to run their routes in this offense. Ok, kicking may be a determining factor in a close game. This makes me nervous with all the winds to deal with in Three Rivers Stadium. Ok, Acrisure stadium. I hope the Jets win because they could sure use a break here.
This is Ulbrich's first full week as HC. First order of business should be to install some discipline so to help stem the tide of these asinine pre-snap penalties. These are supposed to be professionals, but they're worse than a high school team.
Maybe he moves Futu back to his natural LT position. Perhaps McGregor gets some run instead of Clemons too.
I hate to put expectations on this team because they tend to let down when there's such perception, but I do think they'll win and. I think the change from Mike Williams to Davante Adams will be a significant one. They should be 4-4 heading into a big game against the Texans. Not that 3-5 would be season-ending but it'd be getting close to it. Backs are getting pushed against the wall
That is incredibly hard to believe. As memories of Javante Williams running for 10 yards a carry at miserable rainy Metlife Stadium dance through my head.
They have to win. I don't see a WC coming from the AFCE this year. They are already two games behind the Bills record wise and currently losing the head-to-head matchup until the rematch in Buffalo. Upsets can happen but chances are the Bills will beat the Titans at home to go 5-2. Jets can't go 2-5 if that happens.
WC could come from the East but a team like Pittsburgh will be one of the biggest teams in the mix for the wild card. Which is what makes this game so important - tiebreakers later Bills probably beat the Titans Sunday but I thought the Bills looked awful Monday night, for the 3rd week in a row, so who knows
btw...not "coming at you" as it were... i just think that people oversimplify "installing discipline" as fart as Woody? sigh is all i got. what a fool.
The jets will win this and beat the Patriots in order to get hopes up - then lose to the Texans - then go into a random win/lose pattern the rest of the season and narrowly miss the playoffs but show "enough" that JD keeps his job and Ulrich gets made permanent and nothing ever gets better - you know this will be the case already.
We are not winning my friend. We will be 2-5 and season will be over. Now that I said this God will humor me but I don’t see it happening.
The Steelers offense isn't great. Russell Wilson is supposed to start, and he hasn't been impressive since his Seahawks days. If (AND ITS A BIG IF) the Jets OL can give Rodgers some time, then the Jets will have a shot at a win. I know the Jets don't fare well against the Steelers and winning in Pittsburgh is not easy. But I do think it will be close if the Jets OL can do a decent job. If Watt and company get to tee off on Rodgers, then forget it as it will be a long night for the Jets.
Pittsburgh to be 75 degrees and sunny on Sunday. Jets better win. I just bet my Brother in Law they will beat the Steelheads. Put up dinner at a swanky sushi restaurant. It will taste so much better knowing how I got there!
It’s a night game though. It’s going to be in the 40’s by kickoff and even a bit colder because it’s right on the water. It will be cold.
