I still feel like the team lost too much already and would have to go on a big time run to get into the playoffs. I'd be down with Rodgers one more year with the offense and see where that goes. So this trade just extends misery that has to be explored.
That is an incredible deal for Buffalo. Cooper was paid for this season as a signing bonus. He is costing the Bills only 800K. And they paid slightly less than a 3d rounder for him. With that said, I think Jets did OK with Davante trade. JD overpaid with the conditions to become the 2nd rounder, but these conditions are unlikely to be met. Otherwise 3d rounder is a fair price. The season is not lost yet and while Davante is not Davante of old, he can still play. He also knows the system and is familiar with Rodgers, and we need to him to be ready to play on Sunday. So, he can get up to speed very quickly. It's a gamble too, of course, given our record, and the fact he is turning 32, but seeing how Big Mike regressed, Lazard is very inconsistent, and GW underperformed, I think Adams can helps the Jets now and even as 1 year rental may be worth it.
