I respectfully disagree--this type of recklessness characterized by owners like Steinbrenner actually puts trophies in cases at a higher probability than average.
If in fact AR told the truth of the matter to upper management/ownership--that the team was not going to make it given the current coaching situation, he deserves praise not condemnation. People will see AR as a rat or backstabber--that's a loser mentality IMO. Its noble to tell the truth to the man who's paying your salary and for the good of the organization, ownership needed to know what was going on in the locker room etc. No one else had the balls or juice to go there.
Can you people stop with the Lebanon flag thing. He's of Lebanese ancestry. The NFL does this every year now for a week or two. Belichick wore a Croatia flag because of his ancestry. The players put decals on their helmets showing their pride in their ancestry. It's a thing.
I am not surprised, Robert should have been fired last year, thank you Robert for your efforts! I wish him the best!
What? Look at Saleh's record, 20 wins and 36 losses, that is not good enough, his firing is justified
how does Joe D stay on? Fielding an O that is bottom 5 in scoring for 5 years in a row.4 how does any HC get a winning recorded with a bottom 5 O?
Coincidentally someone else took it the same. https://imgur.com/a/wOzfGkP Blocking you now. No point coming across your posts since your analytical skills are lacking.
I get it, Saleh wasn't good... Just saying we've had a lot of bad coaches here that he let finish out the string
I wish Robert Saleh well for his future. He seems a thoroughly decent man and a capable DC. I feel sure he will re-emerge in due course. Given the timing, I suspect (but of course do not know) that Woodrow did not come to this decision unaided. I suspect the invisible hand of Rodgers is behind it. Which means that the word 'interim' in Ulbrich's job title may as well stay there because he is the 'next man up' to see this season through. I'm further speculating that Rodgers sees himself playing beyond this year and has now made himself more influential than the GM, and anyone else for that matter. If so, anyone on the staff that Rodgers does not want, might as well plan their exit strategy now. House clearing soon enough. The AFC East is up for grabs. We have that to look forward to.
Apparently Johnson met with the media and his explanations are hilarious. hope we get the audio soon.
Probably a display of his deep knowledge of football strategy, and personal connection with the gladiators of the gridiron...
