Jets fire Robert Saleh

Has a team that has fired their coach mid season ever won the Supet Bowl, asking for a friend.

 

Here's my big question. And it's a key one. Who initiated this and who agreed with it? Joe D, Rodgers or Woody.

Knowing this team and its dysfunction, I have to assume it wasn't the proper route: i.e. GM-initiated.

Hackett's system doesn't work anymore. It didn't work in DEN and it's not working here either. Maybe keep the system but change how the game is called. Hackett is set in his ways so he's not the one to look for change in. DA won't matter if Hackett's predictable system doesn't change. Besides, you bring in DA, who do you let go? MW? MC? Who??

 

Lets be honest though guys, doing this before the Bills game is the right move. Because after the Bills game we lose and we'd complain it should have been done 2 weeks ago

And that JD needing a scapegoat went along with it to appease him.
Thus elevating Hackett rather than addressing the Hackett problem.

So yeah, I’m gonna go with more dysfunction as the answer; and a full house cleaning at end of season.
I swear if we hire another scout who wants a “tear down and buy myself time” approach I’m out

 

It's hard to believe merely firing Saleh and keeping everyone else is going to change anything. Hackett needs to be gone as OC.

 

Probably... but I'd rather see them lose with a Head Coach that actually gives a shit.

 

Guys, this is a BAD move regardless of what you think of Saleh.

It shows we have an owner that is emotional, impulsive, rash, and puts his finger up to the wind.

I mean it's a start. This whole thing is out the window next year. Rodgers is going to retire and we will be looking for an entirely new FO and QB

 

Knowing Woody Johnson and Aaron Rodgers would it surprise anyone if Rodgers went to Woody Johndon and said that Saleh problem not Hackett and woody listened??
