WOW. I am STUNNED by the timing of this. This proves there was a LOT happening behind the scenes. Rodgers' appearance on McAfee will be interesting. Too bad it didn't work out, but was hard to deny he was cutting it as a HC. Thank god they picked Ulbrich over Hackett, who, newsflash, isn't going anywhere Very curious how Ulbrich looks as HC honestly. The defense isn't perfect but it's consistently at least good (despite the GM's mismanagement of key positions) and can adapt.
This is the critical move that needed to be made, and clearly needed to be made in the offseason. I said in the offseason JD always leaves one obvious major loose end, with the potential to sink an entire season. Every year. This year it was Hackett.
They gotta get someone who can help them on offense though. Hackett isn't capable I think, he's lost whatever magic he has had mainly due to him being predictable
LaFleur scapegoated because Douglas just couldn't be wrong about Zach. Now Saleh scapegoated because Douglas just couldn't be wrong about Rodgers/Hackett. Better hope Ulbrich is the second coming of Dan Campbell because coaching candidates who aren't Gase or Hackett-level bad are going to stay far away from this hellhole.

Look, I want Hackett out of here more than anyone, but you CAN'T just paintbrush this as a scapegoating. The guy's career record was TERRIBLE.
Ulbrich is just a stopgap to get through the rest of this season. He's not HC material, a good DC but that's about it.

Right, on the surface Salah was a very good speaker but he was mostly HOT AIR, NO RESULTS The guy was getting outclassed every week by the opposite staff
