This guy should never have been brought back. Players who have been coach by him complain about him and he has an offensive line made up of good players severely underperforming in both run and pass blocking. If they are not going to fire Hackett, this is the least they could do!

Maybe we should just fire everyone, can we really narrow it down to a single individual on this team?

You can fire everyone. You can hire anyone you can bring in 22 hall of famers. This team will never ever ever win. This team should close up shop and dissolve.

    I've often wondered that.

Then I remember that there are fools out there that actually blow TONS of money on this shit hole of a franchise. As long as those people continue stuffing wads of cash in Wood-ruff's wallet, this team is going nowhere. Not sold, bartered nor dissolved. The only thing that can actually change is who you root for. Sad shit about that....everyone shames you as if, somehow, they are holier than thou by continuing to burn brain cells and gain heart conditions by following this franchise and calling "you" a traitor for wanting to leave.

I was listening to Sirius and something similar was going on just last week. Some dude named "Grumpy Fin" has had it with the Dolphins and said he was going to go root for Kansas City. Kirwan started calling him Traitor Fin. Why??

Dolphins are damn near as sad sacks of shit as the Jets. Haven't won jack shit since the 70's and have endured some real shit hole teams too. I don't know...crazy insane!

@mezzavo I said in the game thread that the only way to make any sort of possible change is to stop attending games. But we both know that will never happen.

Trust me I wish and pray that someday I would be able to change who I root for. but sadly that will never happen. there are lots of reasons for that and one of them is my childhood. I was a sheltered religious kid who was bullied in school and hated my father who abused me and the Jets were my escape. We didn't even have a TV so I had to play hooky from Sunday school and watch the games at a deli. The teams were terrible yet I never missed a game.

Some of the film breakdowns I’ve seen show massively confused blocking schemes in the running game.

The Jets have managed to make something extremely simple like duo runs (two double team blocks up front on defensive tackles up to the linebackers) massively complicated.

The blocking scheme is one of this teams biggest issues. Two weeks in row the Jets faced blitz heavy teams and got run over. No adjustments.
Everyone in the country knew those teams would blitz... except the Jets apparently.

Ha! I flipped that on right after the guy had hung up and they were having the discussion about him. What I didn't get is why he chose the Chiefs to be his new team. If he has no ties to KC that just makes him a bandwagon fan - the worst kind there is.

Some may call this post a bit extreme but I think it's a pretty rational take on where we are.

Do you think the NFL would approve a sale if Woody were inclined to sell or simply go out of business?

JV totally respect your football knowledge. Curious about your opinion with the Jets' seeming obsession of going up the middle, Each of our top backs seems to have a great combination of size, speed and power that i can imagine them being more effective running outside

Hall seems lost at the moment

Worry not my man. I'm a lifer too... Through thick and thin it will be the green and white for me always. They may be an inept crap hole owned by a shit stain owner who has more silver spoons in his head than brains but it's MY inept crap hole of a team. LOL!!!

It's HARD, too! My wife roots for San Francisco. Even when they lose you know they are going to be "in it" at the end. That's a well run franchise. God love her, though. When the Jets are on she puts on her NY Jets t-shirt and roots with me. lol

Me as well! I didn't actually hear the Grump Fin part but the dude that was on after, kissing Kirwan's ass. Damn good point! You'd think that Tampa would be a logical swapping. They have a good team, are in Florida and Mayfield is just really getting into his prime. They should be competitive for years! lol!!
