It’s not hate. I just thought at the time this was not a need. This year, we had to sign two 37 year old tackles, draft another one, and bring in a FA starter at LG and let our first round pick from 4 years ago walk. Just thought that OL was in such bad shape. I actually think Lazard can perform at WR2 level this year too but WR is and was a need then. glad I’m eating some crow here and he’s a great player. If you actually read my posts on him I always knew he was a baller, just didn’t get the pick based on need. Glad he’s playing well. He looks great.
I wasn't signaling anyone out. Trust me, you weren't the only one. I just hope the kid keeps getting better and better. He looked good when given the chance, which kinda pisses me off a little. It's almost like the CS doesn't even truly know what they have sometimes on this roster.
With that being said, how good does our OL look?! Really struck gold so far with them to allow for a pick like this to work.
It was encouraging to see WMD make some plays. We wont know what he is until he has played a lot more games though. I liked how scrappy he was, but I wont be surprised if his size gets exposed the next few weeks. He still looks more like a situational pass rusher. This is good to fill in for Huff, but on running downs?
if Huff at his size could make plays and was in on some runs plays I don’t see why Will can’t. Early downs maybe use a bigger DE w Clemons and 2/3rd bring in Will
I think the early returns this season are mixed but promising, it doesn't help him that he's not going to get a lot of help from inside against the run. We'll see how he fares against New England tomorrow night. At least he's not facing Belichick.
It's disappointing Clemons has been so crappy since a solid rookie year. He looked like a JFM-like player who could be a future starter but sure doesn't look it now. The Jets f'ed up big time by having him change his body type after being very successful as he was his rookie year. In hindsight, absolutely absurd what they did. We can only hope he finds his game again because if he did, the DL would be feeling a lot more optimistic. Kind of curious if Eric Watts can play but it's probably too soon to throw him out there. But the run d was better against the Titans, which I don't want to keep forgetting. Hopefully the new standard
Clemons is so freaking bad. I have no idea why the coaching staff loves this dude but holy shit. Cannot stand him. Just play the UDFAs. It cannot be any worse than Clemons.
Yall still want Huff back lol….eagles fans are having buyers remorse. He’s been awful, I didn’t notice him at all
I mean Fangio is asking him to stand up at edge and drop in coverage is insane behavior. Huff as wide 9 edge with elite get off and bend was used perfectly here.
Fangio is a strange case. Good defensive coordinator when he has exactly what he wants and the players. Terrible defensive coordinator if the players don’t fit and he round peg square holes the entire thing.
McDonald looks great so far this year. Happy to eat crow, just hope he continues on. (I still think it was the wrong pick and we’re going to regret not having another playmaker down the stretch for what it’s worth.)
So far he's crushing it, he got eaten up against San Francisco but really responded when JJ went down. Also very nice to see that he can be effective against the run.
