I understand that the 3 sack line doesn't reflect his raw pass rushing across the entire game (the second one was an awareness/ athleticism play when he had dropped off the line and was spying), but that third one was really positive to me. That bull/speed rush into reaching out one handed and dragging the QB down while still engaged with the defender is a Quinnen Williams / Aaron Donald / Reggie White type move about being bigger, stronger, and generally more physical than your opposition. To see it flashed by "undersized and underpowered" McDonald makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
He also had a forced fumble. Dude straight up killed it today, best player on defense by a good margin.
Hopefully some of the McDonald hate can die down for a bit. I'm still baffled ppl were hating so hard on this kid.
