Still don't understand why the ball wasn't spiked on 1st and 10 with 27 seconds left. They tried to save a down I guess and ran 3 plays in those 27 seconds. Spike the ball, settle down with 27 seconds and you still have 2nd/3rd/4th down. Very, very mind boggling decision at the end of the game.
I missed the end but they mismanaged the clock at the end of the first half too. They ran the play clock all the way down after their first down from 1:03 to 32 seconds with only 2 timeouts and basically cut away any chance for Lamar to run the ball when they got into the red zone. Very strange since Harbaugh is usually very good at that.
Basically they hit Bateman for a 30-40 yard play to get it to the Chiefs 10. They would have had 18 seconds with 2nd/3rd/4th down. I think Chris Jones was off the field on that play when they rushed to the line but it was just so much time wasted. Maybe I'm overreacting, but it felt very mismanaged.
I agree with that, I was confused why they didn't spike it then as well. They also could have spiked the ball on the last play of the game. There was 5 seconds left. It was 3rd down. So they could have spiked it, and then got more time to figure out the last play as well. It would have been 4th down with 4 seconds left but at least more time to make the play. The Ravens mismanaged the game but thats just the difference between a good team and a great team. Ravens IMO will never get over the hump as currently equipped. They are good but not great.
He had an amazing game running the ball (and getting out of trouble), of course, and wasn't bad in the passing department either, but on the play before the last one, he missed a wide-open Flowers for an easy touchdown. That inconsistency at crunch time seems to be the thing that still holds him back.
I could easily see them missing the playoffs with a healthy Allen. Hell, they almost did that last year, and that was with a much better roster and $60 million more in cap to spend. The bills should not be good this year, they have Allen and a bunch of c+ or b- players. Unless a few of them take a big leap in growth, this is a down year for buffalo and it’s a question for me whether they squeak into the playoffs.
The Bills window has closed as currently equipped. The best thing for them would be a year or two of down-year and then come back with a better team in a few season and open the window for a few more years. I think they have accepted it, which is a lot better than not accepting it and try to force something that likely wont work.
Because “Indian” is no longer p.c. as the term was coined in error as the weren’t in the indies, so Native American is the new norm. Redskin is actually is a derogatory term, similar to using the N word. There is nothing negative associated with the word Chief just like in Hockey you have the Kings.
Bullshit. They did that Indian chant all game long, they play at arrowhead stadium for fucks sake with an Indian arrowhead logo They aren’t “kings” they are Indian chiefs clearly
At one point does it become an issue that football games are getting closer and closer to 4 hours long?
I think he was saying "kings" and "chiefs" are basically the same person but different culture. Both are leaders/in charge.
