As most on here know, my wife is a HUGE 49'er fan. We were kind of stunned. Damn good thing that kid didn't kill Pearsall or the pitch forks would have been out. We were just in downtown last month or so. It's not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be but it does need some cleaning up. Nothing more than the age old problem of it had it's "boom" with the .COM's, prices went crazy out of whack so now it's going to take 5 years or so to come down "back to earth."
I know. I don't have a feel for that here. Caesars and DK's give you limited choices on these SGP's, the sneaky pricks lol
So, DirectTV customers lost access to ESPN/ABC today at 7 pm. But don't worry! Here's what they said: "If you’re concerned about possibly missing one of your favorite teams in the next few weeks, here’s the good news. FOX, CBS, NBC, and Amazon Prime Video televise most of the NFL action, while ESPN/ABC has one game per week. Chances are your favorite team won’t play Monday night until later in the season after we’ve had plenty of time to come to a new agreement." I only laugh because, of course, Week 1 is MNF. Guess which service I use!
From what I remember reading he traveled with the team for their last preseason game but he never saw any practice time on the field.
I won't be falling for this trap again. I will be rooting very very hard for the Jets. but at the end of the day the niners win. 24 - 22
Of course Trent Williams gets extended just in time to play week one lol, cmon Reddick get on in here...
I think we all knew that Trent Williams was going to be there for the start of the regular season. These things always get done when the natural deadline of missing game checks and the beginning of the regular season get close enough to be a real concern. Which makes the Reddick situation, if it continues to move closer to Monday night, all the more frustrating. And considering that it doesn't appear as though Douglas and Reddick's agents have been speaking to each other, I doubt we'll see any resolution on that front anytime soon unless Reddick just decides to show up sometime this week independently of whatever has, or hasn't, been going on between his representatives and anyone from the Jets.
I voted Niners. I do think the Jets have a chance to win and this would be a great start to the season but expecting to travel across the country and beat the defending NFC champs who return almost their entire team from last year is a tough ask. I'm gonna go: Jets 24 - Niners 27
About a week ago I thought we would be in great shape for an upset here. But the 49ers seem to be getting all their guys back into the fold just in time. I imagine they will be pretty juiced up to have the gang all back together. Its back to being a really tough game and a likely 0-1 start
I see the Jets losing this game but then winning the rest of their September games at TEN, NE, and DEN to finish the month 3-1.
Jets are playing with house money here. First off it is an out of conference game with no impact to tiebreakers. It is against previous season's Superbowl participant so a loss won't really create much controversy. That said, even with Trent Williams and CMC being a go for our game, I still like our chances. We are the hungry team with something to prove. Our Defensive Line is still strong and we have great corners and two good linebackers. If no game time injuries we will come up ahead. Go Jets!
I don't see our DL as strong on the outside. We got nothing at LDE and JJ's still learning and is going against Trent. The 49ers pre-snap movements are top-notch . I'm not saying SF wins--merely that the DL has its hand full. Have to hope we have a good defensive gameplan--IDK Maybe a star is born.
Yep, biggest house money game of all time. Out of conference game on the road against the favorite to go to the Super Bowl in week 1. Everything to gain, nothing to lose here for the Jets, which is why I think they will steal this game.
Not to mention some of these injured guys are on the field for the first time since the SB. No training camp …. It’s gonna be a couple weeks before they hit their full stride.
