Not a fan of this "PBU," which I assume stands for Pass Breakup. PD is a perfectly cromulent term. Pass Defended. The problem, I think, is that somehow people got it into their heads that PD meant Pass Deflected, and some breakups are not deflections. Hence, PBU as a catch-all term. But Pass Defended -- which PD actually stands for -- is already a catch-all term! /pedantic rant
Too bad "cromulent" isn't perfectly acceptable, even if Merriam Webster put it in their book last year; being invented for a Simpson's episode doesn't feed the bulldog. As far as PBU, I agree completely - the origin of that one is pretty vague, but I expect some scribe started using it in his own notes. Stick with the PD!
Just wanted to join the others in thanking you and KY Jets Fan (among others) for for all the hard work! I know how hard it is to do a buttload of copy/paste as fast as you can! lol Your hard work is much appreciated! Sounds like the Jets Offense is finding a stride. I swear, I'm going to have to lay pillows on the floor, around my chair, so when I pass out from shock, I'll have a soft landing!!
