I second that. Before he went into radio he and Ken Schroy worked for Merrill Lynch and were the financial reps for the company I worked for's 401K plan, so I got to know him a little bit. Great guy.

Anthony Becht is good. Smart guy.

He's a head coach in one of the offseason football leagues. I forget which one or there might be only one now.

His team is one of the better ones. I've watched them play a few times.

Who knows one day in the future he could be HC of the NYJ.

I still have a business card for the Marty Lyons Foundation handed to me by . . . Marty Lyons.

Long live him ignoring Richard Todd choking out Steve Serby and shoving him into a locker.

I really liked Lyons as the color man. I thought his voice was really good on the radio and I valued his insights. I don’t think Becht will be as good

its strange that Lyons made this decision so close to the season, I hope he just didn’t want to travel as much and its nothing more than that

They made up a few years later.

Nassau County DA dropped the charges and said it should go to the same place where you complain when a neighbors dog makes poopie on your lawn. :D

Yeah. He may be one of the few people who go on to have greater success in their sport after his playing days are done?

He'll bring a new perspective not only as a former player but as a current head coach. To me it's clear he loves the game or he wouldn't have become a head coach and a good one at that and the Jets seems to think highly enough of him to give him this job.

    I feel he'll do well.
