I don’t think the right focus exists on this team. The priorities are more on social media and marketing themselves than winning football games sadly I think man-boobs Dion Dawkins was right
I should be excited about this team, but I'm not. Mainly because of how last season went down with the week 1 injury to Rodgers. I don't think I'll ever be excited again for this team before the season. Every time there is high excitement that kind of thing happens. I have hopes but that's it. We'll see how they play.
Even though I'm happy and a bit excited with the additions of Fashanu, Corley, Allen, and to some extent Stiggers, like many here I just can't get excited about the actual season. I think I'm more curious to see how the Jets manage to screw things up this year, if it will be in some new, creative way, or in one of their tried and true ways. Maybe the Jets even get it right for once, but then the NFL will screw them in some way, or there will be some new controversy that will sabotage everything. I feel like I'm about to witness another train wreck.
I think we will be pleasantly surprised at how well we do this year. I’m excited bc I think we finally make the playoffs as well
Incredibly. All the components are in place for them to be one of the best teams in football this upcoming season. It's looking like the best team they've had since 2015 but that was a surprise season when Ryan Fitzpatrick came out of nowhere to lead the team. I'm not expecting a vintage prime Aaron Rodgers season not coming off a serious injury and at his age and at the same time I'm hoping he's not completely washed up. Even if that turns out to be the case Denver managed to win it all in 2015 with a just about totally washed up Peyton Manning.
Please everyone, temper your expectations. I don't know how we think this is going to be the greatest show on turf after the shitshow last year.
That's pretty much all this franchise has been about for a long time now. It's sad when it should be fairly easy to realize that they could accomplish all of this marketing and social media stuff by actually, oh, I don't know.... winning.
I'm excited because as soon as this year is over we can say goodbye to Rodgers, or we are one year away from doing so. Two things can be true at the same time: I hope he helps the Jets win a SB and I despise him.
We have one of the best rosters in the league. Whether that translates into a good "team" remains to be seen.
Honestly? Not very excited. We've been down this road too many times to remain optimistic. Every year for the last two seasons their OL falls apart. Now, they added two 33 year old players with injury concerns which doesn't exactly lead you to be optimistic. I just hope the 2nd stringers, Mitchell, Fashanu, and the kid we drafted last year can take a step forward and provide good play in case of injury.
The more I think about it, in light of the schedule being released and the information that we have so many nationally broadcast games, that shows the networks are excited about us which just makes me think we’re in for a soul-crushing disappointment this season. 4-13, in prime position for the first overall pick until the Jets’ customary late December costly victories screw us again, ownership cleans house, Rodgers retires and we’re in cap hell for the next 5 years
Thankfully, after the past almost decade and a half of futility, I'm not sure I have much soul left to be crushed by this miserable franchise. But, this being the Jets, I'm sure they have some awesome new way to pull the rug out from under even the most pessimistic of us.
Can anyone see Saleh as a super bowl winning coach? Maybe they win one in spite of him, not because of him.
I'm curious and hopeful to see how some of the young players perform. That's about it until they start pounding opponents. If they get to 10-2 or better, I'll start getting excited.
Not even remotely, The franchise is just spinning its wheels until, at the very least, a new coach is brought in, despite all of this empty hype that they're pushing yet again.
That's the next coach. (well, I don't know about"respected") Everybody will hate him and he'll last 2 seasons.
