No one wants to say this part out loud but Breece Hall is due a new contract in two years… we know how that goes with RBs. Allen has the tools to be an RB1. Wouldn’t be shocked at all if this is just as much about the future as it is today.
He was explosive in an offense that provides massive gaps for runners because of the wide splits the receivers play with and down field nature of the passing game. Not saying it should hurt the player, however I don’t think there was a ton on tape that translates to good NFL running back for Wright. I think he tops out as a kick returner.
Well he's a big fast dude that runs through people, but very few RBs are even close to as violent a runner as Marshawn Lynch was and this is no exception.
I like this pick. Kind of an old-school runner. But he can give Breece some breaks and also soften up the defense.
