The trade was brilliant…I think what made it happen was the wildcard of Atlanta taking Penix at 8…all of a sudden Minnesota and Denver were getting nervous…only 2 guys left instead of three. I’m guessing JD called both Minn and Den and said who wants it? Not that the return was insane…just swapping a 6th for a 4th and a 5th, but turned one pick into two and moved up two rounds for moving back one spot and still getting the guy we wanted. Nice work there I love the OT pick by the way…to me this was the smartest play.
I'd rather him take multiple receivers with those picks than trade them to take a single one a round or two higher.
