    I will start.

    - No matter what, do not select any defensive players in first 3 rounds.
    - Don't trade up in first 3 rounds.

Trading up can't be a don't do it. Need to be circumstantial. If Alt gets passed the Titans and it only costs a 4th to get there, you do it.

Just don't pick a defensive player and don't trade back passed 20 are my only ones.

Don't stay put and use every waking second of the clock.

Don't reach for an OL we've never heard of.

Don't hesitate to get Nabers if he falls.

    Sent from my genius mind.

All he needs to do is not draft a defensive player in round 1

We'll know if the player selected is a boom or bust in the coming years.

    Don't take Bowers
Don't ignore the age and health of Smith and Moses, and the lack of even one young starting-caliber OT on the roster - do the smart thing and take an OT in the 1st round
Don't take any defensive players before the 6th round
    Don't take an Edge
    Don't foolishly trade up
Don't get out of this draft without filling the top two priorities - a starting-caliber OT and a WR

Trade up for one of the top 3 WRs
    Select Bowers
Trade down if you're not going to do either of the above, take a tackle and hope for the best

Don't make the simple thing complicated - take the OT you think can help us this year, or failing that, trade back and get that missing 2nd rounder, failing that, take the best WR that fits the scheme and the team, failing that, if all else fails, take Bowers and hope he lives up to the hype.

Whatever you do, this team MUST make the playoffs this year, no excuses.

Here's my two cents worth - just a view, as always,

We need a left tackle as the priority. I can understand the clamour for a premium wide-out but personally think it less of a need with improved QB play. In short, we have to keep Rodgers upright for as long as he is here.

I would pick Joe Alt with a free choice, but do not see him dropping to #10. Most projections have Tennessee taking him at #7 and I would be very tempted trading this year's third round pick to get ahead of them and take Joe Alt at #6 if he is still there. Otherwise one of Fautanu or Fashanu are likely available there but both are overpriced at #10 on my board. I'm not sold on Bowers at #10 either. The value and the gamble is trading down a few spots if this is how it plays out, perhaps gaining a 3rd rounder in return.

The alternative at #10 is wide receiver. Harrison will be gone. I suspect Nabers will too but Odunze could well be there.

I've named 6 non-QB targets (as we're not taking one) so I think we will trade down for a LT other than Alt or we will take one of two wideouts other than Harrison.

If JD drafts a defensive player at #10 I will lose my shit. But this won't happen.

Joe, you will have at least two significant injuries on the offensive line this year. A minimum of two. So if you don't come out of the draft with a minimum of two players who can give you significant playing time at offensive line this season, you flunked the draft. We don't need a WR. We don't need a TE. We need a minimum of two starting caliber offensive linemen. And no, you can't wait until preseason cuts to hope to pick up one or two - it never works out. And whatever you do, don't trade up.

I would trade down if I can get a #1 and a #2. You can find a a Mims or Alabamas JC Latham later in the first round. Should have some good WR candidates in the second round.

I agree with your post with one reservation. I would trade up for Alt if he is still there at #6. I do not think he gets past Tennessee at #7 and think he is worth the additional 3rd round pick cost if a trade partner is available.

Also, please don't be unhappy ;) This is supposed to be fun :D

My prediction though is Joe does not trade out of this pick, and we get Odunze at 10.

I'd rather just pick the second best offensive lineman and the best offensive lineman available in the 3rd round. But I agree, Alt should be the #1 player on the Jets draft board. If Alt isn't available at 10, I'd trade back as many times as I could in the first round.

We are 100% on that. I tell you what, if by some miracle Alt is still there at #10, I'm getting to the podium quicker than the commissioner, and I live in England.

In my world it wouldn't get to that as I'm after trading up for Alt. I note that you wouldn't and neither would lots of people on here. I suppose this comes down to if you could get the #1 selection on your board or would be happy with LT capable players representing greater value. In which case I think it is then a case of dropping a few slots and getting BPA maybe even 10 picks later. That might bring Latham into play as I don't see him going earlier. But it would also mean a 2nd rounder this year coming back to us, so the logic is clear.

I do want a specialist LT with that first rounder. I still think he goes with the big splash receiver because he can't get the LT he wants and won't pass up on Odunze as he will still be there at #10 as the 3rd WR in the draft.

You need a lot of help, Joe - don't underestimate the value of warm bodies at a team with a poor history of turning them into useful assets. Moving down five or ten spots gives you a guy who should be decent in both the first and second rounds. Two chances is better than one in finding a guy to stick.

Take a lineman with #10 (an offensive lineman, just to be clear)

Anything else should result in Woody making a change immediately after the draft.

    My message to Joe?
Recent history shows you have no shot at the big dance without a top-flight weapon at TE. That's simply a fact.
