Jets offense gonna be a problem for opponents the first two weeks of the season.

With Williams signing, I am now in absolutely trade down camp unless Alt or MHJ falls to us. :)

Nice job in not letting him out of the building.

We can now trade down and get a borderline starter OL to sit behind our soon to be injured vet OL signings. This isn’t the same as last year since Huff was more than serviceable and the move should’ve been to re-sign him rather than draft his understudy.

Finally, it’s a shame considering the Jets are based in NJ, that he wasn’t sent the true king of breakfast sandwiches- the Taylor ham egg and cheese. GTFO with that BEC bullshit.

    What makes a ham "Taylor"?

I would bet a pretty penny that Bahktiari is on the Jets opening day roster as a back up LT. Hopefully between Bahk and Smith you get 17 games. That is one reason why I’m not dying to take OL and won’t freak out if we draft Bowers or Rome

I’m all for trading down. I can’t escape this feeling though that Mercedes Lewis will come into training camp to appease Rodgers and be billed as a mentor to Ruckert and Kuntz

On an aside, anyone feel better about Lazard being our 3 instead of our 2 WR?

I am sure we can all agree that we have been making some nice signings. We really got better on the O-Line, and at receiver with the Williams signing. I really like that these are 1 year deals. However, every NFL team is only as good as the guy backing up the starter. We got crushed last year because of injuries. I think it would be nice to trade back 5-6 spots, pick up a 2nd or another 3rd round pick. The focus should still be O-Line. Rodgers is 40 and coming off a major injury. The reality is that the Jets organization is in desperation mode as they should be. Anything short of a playoff victory is an absolute failure.

I feel better about him being 3rd than 2nd but still awful about him being 3rd. The guy was unbelievably bad last year.

don’t know the player but UGH NO

No more fucking first round safeties

I’d be fine with sliding down and taking the best available OT or WR

But no fucking way in gods green earth should they take a fucking safety in round 1

I'm thinking Robert Tonyan is a possibility--he had good chemistry with AR and he was a decent blocker I believe.

The guy said it was Taylor ham, egg and cheese. He called it TEC. PEC in south and central jersey. And always get it with SPK!

I don't know how Bowers will fit in as a blocker. That's a huge part of a TE game. I mean with the new GAP scheme we are about to employ, you need to be a powerful blocker. Bowers is not it. I personally feel it would be a huge mistake to draft him. I am not convinced any of the players are generational in this draft, and TE at 10 is too rich for me.

    He sure did!

THEC is the best on a hard roll... lived in NJ until I moved toScottsdale and I'll tell ya, I look for TH in the grocery store and found it aand made my sandwiches for the entire family...LOL. it Was Great...

AS for this signing, JD is back from hibernating, thank God. AS NC states get the OT we need and if he isn't there, trade down and get a 2nd, I am for that.

Not really. Being the #3 receiver doesn't magically make him catch the ball any better.
