Well everyone the combine is done and it’s time for my first mock draft of the year. I do think the Jets will be active in the first round as JD will look to add depth and starters. This draft is how I think it will go down not how I want it to to go.

    1. Bears - Williams QB
    2. Commanders - Maye QB
    3. **Trade** Falcons - Daniels QB
    4. Cardinals- Harrison WR
    5. Chargers - Nabers WR
    6. Giants - Odunze WR
    7. Titans - Bowers TE
    8. **Trade** Patriots - McCarthy QB
    9. Bears - Alt LT
    10. **Trade** Raiders - Penix QB
    11. Vikings - Nix QB
    12. Broncos - Turner DE
    13. **Trade** Jets - Fuaga RT
    14. Saints - Arnold CB
    15. Colts - Fashanu OT
    16. Seahawks - Verse DE
    17. Jaguars - Thomas Jr WR
    18. Bengals - Latham OT
    19. Rams - Mitchell CB
    20. Stealers- Mims OT
    21. Dolphins- Murphy DL
    22. Eagles- Powers C
    23. Texans - Cooper LB
    24. Cowboys- Guyton OT
    25. Packers - Fuatanu OT
    26. Bucs- Robinson DE
    27. Cardinals- McKinstry CB
    28. Bills- Wiggins CB
    29. Lions- DeJean DB
    30. Ravens- Newton DL
    31. 49ers- Coleman WR
    32. Chiefs- Worthy WR

Jets pick up a 2nd round pick with a trade from 10 to 13. Although I would have preferred they take Brian Thomas at 13 they go with in my opinion the second best OT in the draft. Fuaga is by far the best RT option and hopefully the jets can land a LT like Smith in free agency to fill the void.

I also like Fuaga. I just don't want the Jets to draft Bowers. My scenario would be taking Keon Coleman to pair with Garrett. I don't know where Coleman is scheduled to go but that would be great for Rogers. Then draft some offensive linemen in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

I have serious doubts that McCarthy goes in the first round. I know there’s a lot of smoke right now about it, but it just doesn’t make sense. The dudes thrown minimal passes, it’s not like he was a guru at the LOS, he’s not anywhere near as fast on the field as he’ll time and he’s pretty thin.

I also never really saw any sort of elite arm strength. He projects as a decent backup that might have a Case Keenum 2017 year here or there.

I’m not very high on JJ either but there are some needy teams out there. I just feel like most QBs they get over drafted all the time. He’s a lock to be a first rounder even though imo he’s got day 2 talent

This would be nice if the draft fell this way. Someone always reaches for a Q/B as it such a cruical position.

I also agree that Bowers will be gone before Pick 10, so a trade down and an O/T - with that extra pick - would be great to see
