Pran would be a great fit for the team and it's possible that we could add him. There's a better one (Jackson Powers-Johnson) but he's likely to go in the 1st round or at worst in the top of the 2nd round, so we have no chance at him. Kingsley, Haynes, and Van Pran to our OL would be awesome, at least based on what I've read so far. I reserve the right to change my mind once I watch video of them.
So I tweaked the picking order one last time: 24.Jackson Powers-Johnson OC Oregon 45.Kingsley Suamataia OT BYU 58.T'Vondre Sweat DT Texas 62.Christian Haynes OG UConn 74.Cole Bishop S Utah 114.Jamari Thrash WR Louisville 184.Sam Hartman QB Notre Dame 2025 DAL 2nd 2025 TB 3rd 2025 ATL 4th
I think I could get very excited over that draft. Two strong IOL, a great prospect at LT, one of the top NTs in the draft, a good S and slot WR prospect. Adding more draft capital for 2025 would be helpful going forward as well. Great job!
Here's a draft I like a lot. I traded down thinking I could still get Fuaga at #20, but he was gone. Still I wound up with two great OT prospects in Guyton and Amegadjie. Guyton is just raw, doesn't have a lot of experience, but has has great movement ability and athleticism. Amegadjie is more of a project, but based on what I've read, he has all the tools and is likely to become a quality starter in the NFL as well. Also, I love the two WRs I took. I could have taken Roman wilson at either spot, but he' so short. Both Legette and Walker have great size, great catch radius, solid hands, high point the ball and Legette is also great at contested catches. Mahogany has the potential to be a starter year one at OG, and Oladapo has excellent size, and ability. 20. Tyler Guyton OT Oklahoma 60. Xavier Legette WR South Carolina 73. Devontez Walker WR North Carolina 112. Kiran Amegadjie OT Yale 118. Christian Mahogany OG Boston College 129. Kitan Oladapo S Oregon State 2025 PIT 4th
the more i think, though, the more i lean to trading out of the 1st round. especially if that nets 2~3 day 2 picks. The hope is, Kingsley would still be available at the top of 2nd round.
The big problem with that would be if the Jets didn't sign two OTs in FA who were capable starters at LT and RT. Kingsley might not be ready to start this year. I'm also not sure if any team has two second round picks. If not, then the Jets would be looking at a 2nd this year, a 2nd or a 1st next year, and maybe a mid-round pick this year. IMO that wouldn't be worth it. To get two 2nd round picks this year, JD would probably have to trade down 2x and give up our 3rd pick or one of our 4ths. I'll be surprised if he's able to trade down at all, but if he does, I believe we can kiss Fuaga good bye. We'd then maybe looking at Kingsley, Guyton and Mims.
OL heavy draft through PFF- Got lucky after trade offer from Raiders: 13. Fashanu T 44. Suamataia T 72. Legette WR 114. Leonard Taylor DT 144, Zack Zinter G 187. Javion Cohen G/C 226. Brandon Coleman G 254. Delmar Glaze G/T 257.Hayden Hatton WR

I'd take this draft and be quite happy with it. I love Guyton and could have taken him, but he's a project and Fautanu could possibly start at LT or RT this season. Morgan was also still available. If I had signed Tyron Smith in FA, I'd probably pick Guyton over Fautanu as I think Guyton's ceiling is a lot higher, but he's raw. If AVT is unable to start the season, it's possible that Tippman could start at LG, Mahogany at RG, and Bortolini at C. That's a lot of youth starting and not ideal, especially if Fautanu wound up starting as well, but all 3 seem to be good prospects, and Legette would be a great addition to the WR corps. 19. Troy Fautanu OT Washington 52. Xavier Legette WR South Carolina 72. Christian Mahogany OG Boston College 114. Tanor Bortolini OC Wisconsin 2025 LAR 2nd
10. Taliese Fuaga OT Oregon State 72. Roman Wilson WR Michigan 112. Tanor Bortolini OC Wisconsin 114. Calen Bullock S USC
In this draft I was blown away with trade down offers. I accepted the first to move down thinking I could still get Guyton, but he went a pick or two before 26. I had to settle for Morgan. I don't know how good of a prospect he is, but would be thrilled with adding Corley and Legette to the Jets' WR corps. I have some reservations about Jackson, but he could be a great NT beside Q, and Bortolini would be depth for Tippman, and could even be good enough and allow Tippman to move to RG. Adding a 1st and 3rd round pick next year would be nice as well, although not realistic imo. I opted for Corley over Kamren Kinchens. If I hadn't taken Corley, I still could have taken Johnny Wilson at #97. 26. Jordan Morgan OT Arizona 53. Malachi Corley WR Western Kentucky 72. Xavier Legette WR South Carolina 97. McKinnley Jackson DT Texas A&M 112. Tanor Bortolini OC Wisconsin 2025 PHI 3rd 2025 TB 1st
In this mock Fashanu was sitting there at #10. Dallas offered picks #24, 56, 87, and their 2nd rounder in 2025. Bowers was sitting there too, but I'm certain they want to take Fashanu to replace Smith at LT. In real life, unless I had signed Smith to play LT this season, I'm pretty sure that I would have taken Fashanu, but decided to take the offer in this draft to see what happened. Dallas did take Fashanu. At pick #56, I had a choice between Malachai Corley, Cooper Beebe, and Kris Jenkins Jr. Since I had pick #72 where I could still get a good WR prospect, even though I would love to add Kris Jenkins, I went with Beebe to try to fix the OL. The WR talent I was able to add in this draft is crazy. I wanted to draft a S, but all the better safeties were gone, and it was too early to take one of the DTs. If I had signed Tyron Smith to play LT for most of this season, I think I'd be quite happy with this draft. Fautanu could probably start at RT (if he could make the adjustment), Beebe would start at RG, and they'd have one hell of a competition in TC for the #2 WR spot. If they all panned out, we'd go from having one of the worst WR corps in the NFL to one of the deepest and best. 24. Troy Fautanu OT Washington 56. Cooper Beebe OG Kansas State 72. Xavier Legette WR South Carolina 87. Devontez Walker WR North Carolina 112. Johnny Wilson WR Florida State 114. Tanor Bortolini OC Wisconsin 2025 DAL 2nd
Since when do you have to pay money to even be able to so trades? What a joke compared to how I remember this game. Sent from my genius mind.
