Of course not. That's why we actually won that game! Eagles were planning against something that didn't exist.

A lot of what Hardman says is true: Hack absolutely stinks and had no plan for when Rodgers was gone. And I am afraid there wasn't much of a plan with Rodgers either, Rodgers was going to be the OC. That worked for Gase with Peyton, but in all in all fairness, Gase as bad as he was, is much better than Hack. So, this year I have concerns even with Rodgers as OC. But regardless, Hardman called out that part correctly. Another thing I agree with him: he is better than Gipson,. Lazard, and Cobb. He is better than Uzomah who was lined up wide instead of him on some plays. That doesn't mean he is good, just a little better than the crap we had and the offensive coaches were inept in playing inferior players all year. Not just at WR, but pretty much everywhere: OL, TE, and RB too. Hardman could have helped a little more than these guys, but ultimately without the OL it would not make much difference. And he is greatly overrating himself too.

Where Hardman was a total douchebag is refusing to play ST for Boyer. People shit on Zach for allegedly being reluctant to play, but in fact playing when actually asked by the HC, and he even denied being reluctant. Hardman openly admits he just refused to play for Hoyer and checked out. Now that is undeniably douche move. Not sure if leaking is true, but the guy being checked out while getting paid on a solid contract after just joining, admittedly refusing to play when asked - that is something else. Signing was a waste, but good we got something little for him in the end, if the guy was refusing to play anyway might as well. I just wish we had better coaches on offense.

This is escalating. Ironically two games the Jets did relatively well in
    (https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/mecole-hardman/00000188-9cf1-da6b-abd8-fcfd6bf800aa)

Jets beat writer Connor Hughes reports there is “validated belief from the Jets” that Mecole Hardman leaked game plans to the Eagles and Chiefs.
According to Hughes, “several players” implied Hardman leaked game plans to opponents while he was a member of the Jets. This is rumored to have stemmed from Hardman being “frustrated by his lack of usage.” For now, all of this is nothing more than speculation from players, as nothing has officially been confirmed by Hardman or members of the Eagles or Chiefs. Hardman recently put himself in the crosshairs of tampering speculation when Hardman said he contacted the Chiefs earlier in the season and told them to “come get him,” but he later said he never had talks with the Chiefs before being traded. Whether anything comes from these recent stories is to be determined, but it’s been a busy week for the three-time Super Bowl champ.

What is Connor Hughes trying to say with "validated belief"? Sounds like double-talk.

If it's "validated," it's more than just a "belief," and if it's just a "belief," it hasn't been "validated" yet.

I think there is truth on both sides. We are a mess and so is Hardman.

The gameplan thing is to frigging hilarious to be upset about. The two games our offense actually looked competent our gameplan was leaked? That is simply bizarre. So in other words, to improve our offense we just had to leak our gameplan. How Jetsy is that.

If true though… that’s a major offense in this league. Those are some heavy allegations

Another way of saying "a league source".

It makes a lot of sense. Hack's plan was so confusing and barely followed, that it actually confused the teams that were in possession of it. The leak story adds up perfectly.

So, what it really means is that Saleh and Hackett are secretly geniuses. :D

I've already had enough of this offseason. Can we just flash forward to the next offseason when we can be in that period of short-lived optimism about our new, soon-to-be-fired head coach and general manager? o_O:D

Do the Jets seriously think they're going to get sympathy for leaking this?

Yeah but the offense didn’t look good at all versus the Eagles. We forced 4 turnovers with good field position and they let us score on the last one after we got the ball at their 8 yard line.

The Chiefs game we definitely looked competent. Wilson had an out of body experience that night.

The defense won the Eagles game all the way. I like to think the loss to the Jets started a downward spiral that they never recovered from.

That’s why I believe it. Hack is so incompetent at executing a plan it likely played to our advantage in both games.

How come Hardman seems like the type to receive a blank DVD during the bye week, and tells his coaches he watched it like 3 times.

I bet Hardman did leak offense game plan, but didn't understand it. So he ended up helping the Jets

We should hire Hardman as a coach and his sole job is to hand deliver the gameplan to the opposing team when they get off the plane each week.

Does anyone really think that the NFL would discipline the darling Chiefs? Between, Taylor Swift, Reid, and Mahomes there is no way.

Joe Douglas should have been honest with Hardman. "Look, Mecole, let me be honest with you. Once the season starts, Aaron Rodgers won't be throwing any passes to you. And once the season starts, a rookie will beat you out for the starting gig. And at some point I want you to return punts, and none of those pussy-free-catch bullshit. I want punts RETURNED". "OK, now sign right here...."

There's zero chance of the Chiefs facing any sort of discipline for this.

They barely let the refs throw flags on them, they're certainly not going to do anything major like take a draft pick from them or sanction them in the way that any other team not named the Chiefs or Patriots would be if they pulled a stunt like this.

Absolutely. If these allegations are true, you have to wonder if Hardman really shot himself in the foot.

    1. What team will want him? If true, he's the kind of guy who gets pissed off at the coaching staff and leaks a game plan to an opponent to give that opponent a competitive edge. That's a pretty serious breach of the loyalty that teams expect from their players. What team would trust him?

    2. Leaking inside information is, by itself. a serious matter. It would probably violate the League's gambling policy, which prohibits the sharing of insider information even if it's not for gambling purposes. Florio just did a piece on that this morning.. As you might expect, the League is playing it coy on whether it's investigating these allegations.

In short, Hardman should have kept his mouth shut and avoided picking this fight with the Jets. People in glass houses......

Is it tampering if a player reaches out?
