Honestly, I’ll take it all with a grain of salt coming from her and her “sources”. If you don’t have to name someone , you can make up or embellish anything you want.
I think Mike V would fit very nicely and clean up this mess very well. I hope it happens... for all intensive pirposes, RS is a dead man walking....
I have no problem taking most of it as fact because all of it lines up with what we saw during the season. There is the angle that it's probably slightly too negative on the coaching staff and not negative enough on the front office given that the sources were from the front office, but it all lines up with reality either way. We knew Saleh was the excuse-maker-in-chief. We knew Hackett was an idiot. We knew the team was undisciplined.
Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he retires or, perhaps more likely, asks for a trade. He has to know by now there's no winning with this franchise.
The word seems to be that teams are shying away from coaches who are vocal about personnel decisions. Vrabel is one of them as are Belichick and Carroll. I like Vrabel a lot but it’s an interesting trend. When you think about the Ravens, Steelers, Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers, Cowboys, and to a lesser extent the Bengals and Bills - none of these teams have coaches that seem to be as involved in personnel as the old guard.
The only one who is getting fired this offseason is the Social Media worker who forgot to wish Saleh happy birthday...
That's the spirit! Check out for a few days and I come back to a FO that is even WORSE than I actually thought it was. Even if only half this broad's article is accurate, it's enough. I swear...I'll have serious words with ANYONE who actually thinks this team is going to repeat with 7 wins. I laugh at that insanity and raise you the more insane number of FOUR (4) measly wins. THAT is what is in store for we poor poor downtrodden Jet's fans for 2024! Never discount the amount of energy and hope a shitty workplace will drain from a team. Yes, we have some talented players but even G. Wilson was dropping balls left and right by seasons end.
They'll be lucky to even accomplish that. 2024 is going to be an all-time bad Jets season. If we thought this year was a circus and low point, it won't even be able to hold a candle to the disaster that 2024 is going to be.
The jets are a perpetual mess. That’s no mystery. But I swear there are so many jet fans that like it that way. It’s like a male version of the real housewives.
If he's fired it would be tonight by end of the night so avoid the craziness in sports media / news papers as a late night dump or during super bowl week when its media week.
Wrap this catastrophe up with some new(well, old and representative of another catastrophic time), uniforms, slap it out there , and let’s go!
I would be stunned. I bet Woody doesn't even know about that article from the Athletic. And by the end of the night he will be intoxicated anyway
Why does anyone think that Pete Carroll would be willing to come to the Jets or that he would be a good HC here? I don't get it. He retired because he doesn't have the energy to coach the Seahawks any more. If he still wanted to coach, he'd still be with the Seahawks, wouldn't he? I haven't seen anything to indicate that he was forced out in Seattle, but maybe I missed something. During his time with the Seahawks, their OL was always bad and Russell Wilson took a pounding. The offense was conservative, focused on running the ball mostly. That's not what the Jets need imo.
