the chiefs had a masterful gameplan. They had their safeties back, they were baiting Buffalo to throw it deep all night. for most the game Buffalo was fine nickel and dimeing them but the Chiefs knew Allen and/or the Bills would get impatient and they did. NONE of their deep balls hit, and they threw more of them down the stretch stupidly — Even if Bass makes that kick Buffalo loses, they would’ve given Mahomes the ball in a tie game with 1:40 left. Just dumb. If you are going to run the clock all down like that, you might as well go for it and try to win on a last second touchdown
To be fair I think that was what they were trying to do and then Air Bud abandoned the strategy and tried to win it from the 25 multiple times before they tried the FG attempt.
yes but most of those losses came against the Chiefs so it's more an inability to get past them than a wider problem I would say
