Wish there was a "love" to go along with the "like!" Yeah, the 80's Jets were this era's Steelers. Good enough to be in the conversation of playoffs but either just barely in or just barely out. Focus on defense with just enough offense to be presentable. But it was FUN to watch! In today's day and age I go into a game praying not to get blown out in our loss to whomever.
Can you imagine the '24 Jets putting on a shootout redux with the Dolphins? For the life of me, I can't imagine it even with Kal EL at QB and our present WR room.
These are the uniforms I grew up with. Don't particular care either way about the uniforms themselves, but I loved that helmet. I'm hoping they change back to it, like it a lot better than the current one. I know I'm in the minority, but I was never a big fan of the white helmet.
The current shiny green helmet with the 70s/80s logo looks great…. The jerseys are actually kind of boring.
The worst part about the current jerseys is the “New York” across the chest. Nobody does that, its dumb-looking and not needed
If you can't give the great unwashed winning seasons to look forward to, give them consumer targeted wardrobe changes. What else do you expect from a bunch of walking billboards?
I agree. But the jerseys being boring are much better than them being cartoonish like they are. Although frankly I don't hate the white ones as much, the green ones are terrible.
I can't find anywhere that's saying they actually logo on the helmet is going to change. If that doesn't go, who cares then.
Oh FFS whenever I think things can’t get any worse. The 80s unis were generic, amateurish trash. Including that logo. Just bad graphic design. The current ones are pretty dumb too, don’t get me wrong. Just go back to the Vinny/ Curtis Martin unis. Those were class.
The helmet logo is the reason why they need the uniform change. Not that the actual jerseys are good, because they're terrible, but they're an order of magnitude better than that shitty logo on the helmet. That logo might be the worst helmet logo that there ever was in the NFL. Definitely in the bottom 5.
I don't know, I feel like there are probably a good number of 3 year olds who could have designed a much better logo.
Has there been any official announcement yet? I’ve seen rumors but nothing official. Also, what do they mean by “permanent”…do they mean these will replace our current jerseys, or just that these will permanently become our alternate jerseys?
