    Atlanta Falcons - Mike Vrabel

Carolina Panthers - Anybody they can find who will take the gig? I'm sure they will want an Offensive guy. Maybe Brian Callahan or Dave Canales.

Las Vegas Raiders - Antonio Pierce

Los Angeles Chargers - Ben Johnson

New England Patriots - Jerrod Mayo

    Seattle Seahawks - Dan Quinn

    Tennessee Titans - Rich Bissachia

    Washington Commanders - Bill Belichick

Pete Carroll sits out one year, then takes over a disappointing club after next season.
Also, I think the best fit for Belichick is the Bears, but they appear to be sticking with a lame duck in a rebuild, which makes no sense to me. You have all the cards, bring in Belichick or Carroll, let them hand-pick their successor and set yourself up for a dynasty (although, Carroll's coaching tree has shown a lot more success than BB's).

I thought the same thing about the Panthers. Who the fuck wants that job?

I like these a lot-- Tennessee would be lucky to get McDonald. I almost put Harbaugh for the Chargers, but I think he ends up staying at Michigan-- maybe.

I don't see anything on here I would disagree with, Bienemy could really be that guy.

I'm all about him being the Jets next HC-- so he'll have to wait a year.

    My only niggles here --
    • I can't see Belichick and the Spanos' working together, and Bill's smart enough to not jump into that. The exception being if he just wants to win one more Lombardi then head to the house. The Chargers give him the best chance to do that quickly, ownership be damned. I think Bill's a lifer though, and he'll want something more stable like Atlanta or Washington. Tennessee is stable, but I can't see going them firing Vrabel then hiring Bill.
    • Harbaugh can pretty much pick whatever job he wants in the league-- what do the Raiders have that he wants? I would think the Commanders gig with solid new ownership and the #2 pick or the Chargers job with a solid roster and a star QB would be far more enticing than the volatile condition of putting hot-headed Harbaugh in with hot-headed owner Davis (though it worked with Al and Madden back in the day, so who knows). I don't see why anybody would pick the Raiders gig over the Chargers gig if they had the choice.

Carolina might be the only place less desirable than the Jets to be a GM or Coach right now.

I agree that the Commanders are probably the best spot overall when you factor in the potential to build a winner yourself rather than have to jig-saw the existing pieces together. They could just as easily fuck that roster up this offseason too though.

Harbaugh has a connection to the Raiders as he coached there and the connection to Brady through being Michigan guys as Brady now has an ownership stake. Mark Davis also likes star power similarly to his dad and I think he’d blank-check Harbaugh. They also have an elite edge rusher and good defense along with a good offensive line coming off a 8-9 season. They also have $55 mill in cap space and no real notable free agents + Jimmy G can be taken off the books next year.

The Chargers are a cap disaster right now. Khalil Mack (33), Joey Bosa (29, always hurt), Keenan Allen (32), and Mike Williams (30 by October) account for a staggering $140+ million against the cap. If it didn’t go up today that would be over 56% of their cap. They also owe JC Jackson $20 million in dead cap for 2024 and they’re currently $34 million in the red with their starting RB, TE, two DT’s, CB and LB as free agents.

I agree with the Belichick assessment. I just don’t know where he goes and I can’t imagine him not getting a job? The Falcons problem the past three years has been QB and putting together a creative offense with a shitty QB while having a good set of skill players. That’s literally everything Belichick has proven he’s not great at lately. Washington just seems like they’re a multi-year rebuild and I can’t see Josh Harris wanting a guy who’s probably only in it for 2-3 years at most. They’re going to let Bill make short term moves when they have a chance to set the franchise up for long term success?

Chargers do have an older roster, but they can jumpstart any rebuild by already having their FQB, which puts them at least two-three years ahead of any club that doesn't have one.

What do you think about Harbaugh to Commanders? He can pick up the QB of his choice at #2, and has cap space to pick up some pass rushers.

Lots of rumors that if the Cowboys lose tomorrow, Jerry wants to fire McCarthy and bring in Belichick. I wouldn't put much stock there, personally, but the rumors swirl.

I'm struggling with who takes the Tennessee gig when the Atlanta job looks preferable in every way.

Bobby Slowik (Texans OC) or Frank Smith (Dolphins OC) maybe? They both worked with Titans GM Ran Carthon in San Francisco but Slowik might be too young and Frank Smith hasn’t done a ton outside of McDaniels success the past two years.

Washington is definitely the most desirable job in terms of future assets. Atlanta is the best with infrastructure in place IMO. Defense is decent, and you get two top 15 running backs, a young solid 6’5” receiver and a young solid tightend that’s never been used right to go along with a good offensive line.

As many assets as the Commanders have though, the roster is pretty bare. The offensive line is bad, the secondary is awful and they just wasted a first round pick on a corner. The run defense will be OK for another year but they also pissed away a first round pick on a linebacker that’s mediocre. They have two good defensive tackles that are probably not going to be factors when they’re ready to compete and I wouldn’t be surprised if they dealt McLaurin on offense.

I just think Davis is going to pay the most and give the most control to a Harbaugh. Josh Harris is very calculated with how the franchises are run and he’s young enough to see the big picture and how quickly Harbaugh has flamed out of everywhere but Michigan.

Going off topic without answering the question (my apologies), but the Las Vegas Raiders, LA Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans crap, I can't get used to it. Sometimes I go, "Who?"

I have been hearing some rumbles both here in LA and in Las Vegas which will seriously upset some of us die hard Jet fans. There is a strong rumor wave building that if Buffalo lays an egg Sunday the HC is in peril and will be let go. Further the number one choice is to pursue BB to replace him. Giving BB a readymade team like that and able to stick a knife on the Pats and the Jets would be something his big ego could not possibly pass up.

Harbaugh to LAC for at least 5 years. Curious to see what the $ amount is. 5 for 90?
