You mean a mid-level executive walked into Pat's dressing room and said the following? "Either he goes or you both go. Make your choice."
Pat left FanDuels offer of $30m a year to get $17 from ESPN. ESPN needs that guy more than he needs them. I remember him saying he swapped to ESPN b/c it was easier on his production team so they could work less hours b/c ESPN was already prepped for the production stuff. Don’t think the guy cares about the money in the slightest. I wouldn’t be shocked if he walks away from ESPN at some point and goes back to just YouTube
Does this really mean anything? To Pats point, he usually is done once his team is out. and they said for the season. So week 1 Of next season his is back?
I also think McAfee also had to pay his staff out of his paycheck and honor a payroll at FanDuel although I could be wrong. Whereas ESPN has all the production staff and whatnot provided for him.
Sure, nice idea and all, but put your seatbelt on because for Rodgers next act THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY AND HE WILL NOT BE SILENCED.
Not true. They can want him off for other reasons than ratings. It’s their show, not his. Just like how teams can get rid of a good player for their own reasons.
i think the headlines are a little misleading. He always stops going on when the season is over and will pop up here and there for big spots (like last year to announce he was coming to the jets) - they are friends off the show and rodgers is a big reason the show is what it is. I personally dont like it and would rather AR not do it....but i think the statements are taking out of context
How in the f*ck does that dude make that kind of coin?!?! Seriously?!? I never even knew who he was until the Rodgers "darkness" reveal....
Why is that? Because he has opinions liberals don’t like? His teammates think he’s awesome and he literally got an award for it.
He gets nearly 600k+ viewers daily and the younger generation loves him and that style of open floor show. I think he is absolutely hilarious and I love him on college game day. His Alabama vs Georgia pregame pick is all time great.
Well it’s over for us for sure but some teams live on. I figured they’d have him on during the playoffs. lol
I’ve never heard of a single teammate having a problem with him and no one had a bad thing to say about Rodgers until the immunized stuff. And then he decided fuck it I’m at the end of my career and I’m not going to filter myself anymore and suddenly that’s a huge problem.
He’s not my cup of tea on anything other than game day but I definitely understand the appeal. I do like how much hate he catches sometimes though. Does everyone want sports analysts to have complete sticks up their ass at all times?
He makes me laugh. You can tell how much shit he catches from execs for his format and content, he's throws "JOURNALISM" out there in a mocking tone when they go into some segments, even though ESPN abandoned traditional journalism over a decade ago in favor of being a giant tabloid.
Let’s move on. It best AR is off the show so the he and the Jets can focus internally on 2024, with no outside drama. he is the QB for the 2024 NYJ, whether we like the guy or not. It’s the best for AR and the NY Jets….
And now, another bottom feeder like Graziano can spew venum on the media to sell clicks and become ESPN darling. So that horseshit is ok. Oh what a worthless say nothing bunch of morons. Back stabbing two face nobodies.
