The fact this same regime minus any Rodgers input not only benched Zach last year, but went into last offseason season 100% committed to Zach *NOT* being the 2023 QB, are massively huge holes you purposely ignore. That doesn't go away just because it's less convenient for your more desired summary take that we can just blame EVERYTHING on JD and Saleh, and that they are even too freaking stupid/oblivious to come to a conclusion there they already gotten to prior to Rodgers even being a thing.
Almost 20 years later, I still haven't forgiven John Abraham for sitting out of a playoff game to protect his upcoming contract. If this turns out to be true, I certainly will not forgive Zach Wilson.
Salah is learning a good lesson abt listening to fans. A QB change is what most of the fans wanted and got it. They thought Wilson was the reason for the offense sucking. Well it turned out to be a disaster. Salah needs to know that us fans don't run the team.
Of course he doesn’t want to play…because CJ Stroud will make us realize even further he’s mega bust of #2 draft pick.
I wonder if at this point a team will still take a flyer on him, this is a bad look! And unfortunately, we’ll twist in the wind until at least mid day Wednesday! And the logic is here that Zach or his camp leaked this? And the reason he would, would be to force the jets to cut him now?
Why is everyone so concerned on what Saleh has to say? I mean what is he supposed to say, that my boss didn’t bring on a QB worth a shit and our season is now shot because of it? Coz that would be the truth. Im still waiting for JD to stop being a coward and get in front of a mic to explain his inaction, rather than happily let Saleh take the heat for his inaction.
Ok, let’s pause a second. Here’s the Bears game from last year: And, before we start with “it was just the Bears…” What? We’re just the Jets. We’re as pish as they are. We’re 4-14 since that game (with 3 miracle wins). We NEVER dismantle teams like that. Ever. In 3 years of Saleh, that was the only game we’ve ever led by 7 at half time and went on to win. 466 yards of offense! Our current QBs couldn’t do that if they were playing against a bunch of traffic cones. A week later, against the Vikings, we had 486 yards of offense (that’s about 4 games for us now). We had 511 yards against the Bengals (who went to the Super Bowl) in 2021. Even against the Bills last year, we’d just had a really nice TD drive and were moving the ball again when he got injured. I’m not saying Mike White was great. Or even good. But he’s in a different stratosphere from what we’re serving up right now.
Who gives a fuck? Zach Wilson shouldn't be In the NFL anyway. Tim Boyle shouldn't be In the NFL anyway. Trevor Siemian shouldn't be In the NFL anyway. If this story Is true though. This kid Is an absolute joke. Those saying good for him or I can't blame him... What the fuck are you talking about? The kid has been the worst QB In the NFL for the last 3 years, despite the numerous opportunities the kid has been given. Now he acts like he's above the team, like he deserves better because he was benched for being the absolute worst QB In the NFL? Mind boggling and asinine to try to create some magical silver lining for this kid at this point. Wild.
ZW will now give the Jets 3 wins in their final schedule and fallout is the top 12 in draft, drawing wrath of even more hate from the Jet fans. And even if his job is to win games, only Jet fans will hate getting wins.
could have been. I mean his play warranted a benching, we just didn't have a better option. it could have been to protect him or it could have been to spark the offense or maybe just to quiet the fans. we'll never know
