The record says it all. How many years does he need to make the team a playoff team he took over the team in 2019 and completely tore it down (wasn’t much but what ever good it had, he got rid of it) he tanked the team completely in 2020 got a FRESH start in 2021 and have nothing to show for currently other then Sauce x Garret and some waiver claim hits.
Fire his ass after the season! 1) used #2 overall on Zach Wilson who had 1 decent season in college playing a creampuff schedule--I posted 100 times don't draft him! 2) Wasted #1 pick on Becton 3) wasted #1 pick on McDonald who has been invisible all year. Why the hell did we need another edge rusher in the FIRST round when that was their deepest position???? 4) huge overpay for CJ Uzomah and Allen Lazard who both stink 5) Goes into 2023 w no backup for Rodgers so we watch Wilson stink for 3rd year in a row. 6) Signs 2 TEs in free agency to 3 year $20M contracts and then uses his 3rd round pick for another TE? 7) Signs Delvin Cook, another $8M down the shithole 8) hasn't fired Robert Saleh yet who is a cheerleader who never has his team ready and who who makes his weekly excuses for Zach Wilson
24-52. Twenty Four and Fifty Two. Read it again. And one more time. Maybe one more time. This is the guy people defend??? Give me a break.
5 years into GM Joe Douglas's tenure the NY Jets STILL have a terrible offensive line, STILL have no long term answer at QB, and crazy enough, they currently don't have a short term answer either!! The more things changed in 5 years, the more they stayed the same... The GM, The HC and Entire Offensive Staff should be shown the door - TODAY! The GM for dereliction of duty - not having a competent QB to back up a 40 year old and then Ignoring EVERY opportunity to rectify that mistake this year. Needed to CUT or Trade the likes of CJ Uzomah, Mike Carter (RB), Carl Lawson, Duane Brown before Camp. Should have NEVER signed A Lazard or R Cobb and Billy Turner and went looking for REAL football players. He's wasted over $102 Million dollars in HORRIBLE signings on offense.. This series of VERY fireable offense's should end his tenure. I like JD - but no one should keep their job after this debacle - especially when your calling card was supposed to the the OL. The HC - well, lets be honest. Saleh is a glorified cheerleader. He may be a great coordinator, but the team he's the head coach of plays undisciplined football, he holds no one accountable, players or staff. They don't make good adjustments until its too late And they are always late to address obvious shit - like, should have never started Duane Brown OR CJ Uzomah. Tell the OC to get the teams speed on the field and use it! Get Hardman, Wilson and Gibson on the field at the same time let someone worry about OUR speed. instead Hardman played 9 plays, was a health scratch more times than I care to think about and traded for a football back to KC. Team should have made Mike Carter (RB) a healthy scratch weeks ago for Izzy. HE Needed to pull ZW WEEKS ago. They failed to get the new (young) guys integrated soon enough, they failed to cater the O to ZW's strengths AFTER losing Rodgers for the year. Failed to DEMAND a competent B/U QB be brought in the morning after Rodgers was hurt, when one was available. Ultimately he is in charge of ALL of these HORRENDOUS decisions - as the Head Coach, you get to WEAR ALL OF THIS STINK. Instead we get to sit and watch him wear a headset and do nothing accept "Slap Hands" with the guys coming off the field. He's in over his head as a head coach. The OC - because he's just bad, HISTORICALLY bad!!! He has no feel for teaching the offense to anyone not named Rodgers. It shown true last year in Denver where he had a former MVP and Super Bowl Champ as his QB and it was just UGLY football. They were smart enough to get rid of him as soon as humanly possible. If you are watching Denver at all, you are starting to see the difference a real coach makes. Hackett should be fired, and it should have happened weeks ago. It was a bad hire. It all reeks of being enamored with the shiny object and making it happy and not being prepared for the eventuality that Rodgers would likely get hurt and not being able to make adjustments. It's a total failure, organization wide, on the offensive side of the ball. Grossly incompetent from top to bottom. The Buck Stops with those 3 clowns, in that order and the owner - for not selling the team to someone that has a shred of football sense.
The Texans hired a pastor several years ago who believed prayer would help their injuries heal faster to run their entire football operation. They had a sexual predator at QB who willingly sat out an entire season because he was pissed at the team. They’ve had 5 head coaches since 2020. Amazingly this franchise I describe has not only rebounded but they have 6 playoff appearances since 2011 and 7 winning seasons along the way. Yet the Jets can’t get to 9 and fucking 8 any of these years.
