big cotch, your 100 percent correct. Our FO has been unlucky. Bradway with JMAC (via trade but we extended his contract), Blaylock. All were under 30, too.
He played NT in 2003 when Ray Lewis was voted defensive player of the year. Gregg can defenitely play NT in a 3-4 defense. Is he small? Yes. Does that mean anything? No. You cant push him around because of his size. He's like a fire plug. Stout against the run and very disruptive because of his amazing technique. Should've made the Pro Bowl this season.
MHO is that teams do not let better then average DLMan go cause they are so rare & do not just fall out of the sky unless then know that that lineman is almost out of gas.
Unless that team already has Ngata, they dont really need Greg id imagine Greg wants to go somewhere where he can be a fulltime starter.
"so is lunch pail just another way of saying tough white player", no, curtis martin is as lunchpail as it gets.
you hit it right on the money, and he would be a great player to have on the d-line. i would pick him up if he's available and put d-rob as a DE
Where's the link?? that he's a UFA ???...and if he is we should sign him asap ..BTW the raven's run a hybid D 4/3.. 3/4 he plays both NT and Shade DT hes a good run stuffer
Don't be an A$$- it's pretty obvious I didn't want him in the middle- To anyone with a brain, it is obvious that we can either get a fat guy for the middle and move Dwayne, or just get the end and keep Dwayne in the middle. But you just had to get your two cents in and let me know that we're not going to have a 290 LB NT. Thanks for the football lesson buddy, I appreciate it.
When the Ravens ran the 3-4 a couple years ago, I believe he was their NT. And we know how successful the Ravens were at running the 3-4...
