Yeah…Adams is the best but expensive and may not even be available anyway…and not sure how that would mesh with GW…Renfrow I like…solid guy with good hands…almost feels to me like a version of what Cobb was years ago, or a better version of Berrios…that type of guy who is sneaky good at getting open but won’t be much of a threat 20 yards downfield…and Sutton would be a good 1b to GW’s 1a I feel…
I don't want any new WR's....last thing we need is more guys bitching about not getting the ball from Zach. If Rogers was on the team I still don't think he'd want them because he likes Lazard and Cobb. Zach can't get the ball to our current WR's...we don't need more. Much more important to get OL help.
They really need to start cutting Cobb's snaps in half in favor of Gipson IMO. I'd much rather see him out there dropping passes than Cobb, at least with Gipson there's hope that those reps will help him develop in the long run even if they come with some mistakes now. I agree, I think Renfrow or Sutton are the 2 most "realistic" options out there and I don't think it would cost a ton to get either of them because of their cap hit. The ultimate wildcard for this deadline is the Rodgers-Adams relationship. We saw how much the FO valued that this offseason with other players. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Rodgers tries to talk them into going after Adams to get them to reunite for another couple of years. Would be very costly though, on multiple fronts (picks and cap space).
No to Jeudy. Steve Smith pretty much outed the guy as a prima dona bitch on live TV. I'd be more than good with aguy like Sutton. Randall Cobb is the perfect kick return man in Madden 24. He's just slow enough to allow the blocks to develop but still has speed to stay ahead of the gunners when he breaks free. I had 9 TD returns with him the last 2023 season plus one against the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. He immediately retires every time.
Different receivers, Hardman and Gipson are both speed deep ball guys, end arounds etc. Renfro is a great possession, find a hole and sit in it, YAC, first down guy. I loved him at Clemson and was hoping we ended up with him, he's a special talent and could help Zach a lot.
Agreed that on paper he looks a bit expensive right now but the receiver market is likely going to be very aggressive this off-season. Mike Evans Tee Higgins Michael Pittman Gabe Davis Calvin Ridley Tyler Boyd Marquise Brown Curtis Samuel
I think they had all intentions of Gipson taking over but then he got hurt. You'd like to think that post-bye with a healthy Gipson, that transition starts back up again or happens right off the bat.
You're comparing apples to oranges. Renfrow is a guy that will run a perfect route and catch the ball, Wayne Chrebet style. He's not going to be a burner and he's not going to make guys miss, but he's a very good YAC guy. He'd be a very welcomed addition to the WR room.
Well Gipson is a rookie so obviously. Solid point on Hardman though, but if Hardman doesnt move the needle I dont know why Renfrow does
I liked Renfro 2 years ago--I don't watch enough Raiders games to know what happened to him and if it's him or the QB play or play calling. Do you have any insight?
Because they are two completely different players that play different roles. I'm sure Hunter is deeply offended by my comparison to one of the most reliable receivers we've ever seen.
