What don't you get? I don't need an explanation, I don't need to pretend anything; it was ridiculous for the poster to say the guy was only here for a year and a half and all I did was point that out because he's been here much longer than that. What is your point?
But of those 12 missed games he was only unavailable/injured in 7 of them. He missed the other 5 through being dropped/not good enough. As for a 17 game sample; Last 17 Games = 257/463 | 55.54% | 2,993 yds | 13 TD - 11 INT | 49 sacks for 383yds lost | 52 Rushes for 286yds & 3 TD | Based on the 33 qualifying QB's from last year that would of placed him; 15th in Attempts, 33rd in Completion Percentage, 19th in yardage, 26th in TDS, 10th worst in INTs All-Time best 17 games from any year 2020 to 2023; 291/491 | 59.98% | 3,339yds | 16TD - 9INT | 42 sacks for 335yds lost | 46 Rushes for 185yds & 4 TD | That at least would get him to 12th in Attempts, 33rd in Completion Percentage, 15th in yardage, 19th in TDS, 15th worst in INTs Which means bestest Zach is still average but at least now in the Geno/Sanchez bracket.
The FO clearly isn't convinced. No competition in the offseason for the backup role, and now no competition for even playing time. Maybe a contract extension and 3 MORE years of no competition or backup plan is needed, just to be sure.
Took Geno about 5-6 years to breakthrough so I think we'd need to keep Zach for at least as long to give him a fair chance.
I was being sarcastic but I think the majority is right. Zach is just a terrible QB with no hope and it figures that a loser organization like the Jets would pin their hopes on l a guy like this.
That’s the ZW I know back to his regular scheduled performance and mental lapses like he’s still a rookie. Can’t even get the ball snapped with ten seconds and throws the ball in bounds lol a whole ten seconds. Just bench this dude at this pt.
Before this thread gets inundated by the usual Zach trutherism, these are the QB performances against Denver this season: Garoppolo: 20-26, 200 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT Howell: 27-39, 299 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT Tagovailoa: 23-26, 309 yds, 4 TD, 0 INT White: 2-2, 67 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT Fields: 28-35, 335 yds, 4 TD, 1 INT Wilson: 19-26, 198 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT If the trutherism does in fact inundate this thread, this post will be a first in a new thread.
Maybe something like: "They fled. The Denver louts fled. Indeed, concerning the fighting waged by the heroes of the New York Jets Party yesterday, one amazing thing really is the cowardice of the Denver soldiers. We had not anticipated this."
Outside the int, that should have been interference …. I still think he’s getting better. But please, Hackett, call some first down pass plays in the redzone.
Zach is playing...better...than before...to the point I think he might actually manage to hang around in the NFL as a back-up. But he's still making mental lapses that a 3rd year player shouldn't be...frankly that a rookie shouldn't be (like that throw at the end of the first-half, or checking down on 4th and 10 against the Pats).
I'm still not sold on him having completely turned a corner and becoming a FQB, but I do have to admit that he looks quite a bit better than he did last year. Who knows what his ceiling is, but he might, at the very least, end up being a decent backup QB somewhere.
So Zach looked bad but R Wilson is worse ? And outplayed Mahomes? I just didn’t get it ?? Does anyone figure this out? just smh ..Gimme 12 b minus performances by Zach if we win each game lmao
What you call a really good day and what most people who actually know what a really good game is and looks like, are completely different sorry. Either way the D found a way to bring home the W
