If Asante Samuel was playing for us in the game today, he would have been called three times for pass interference.

The last one actually turned the game around because SD would have had a first down at mid field with a little over three minutes left. Instead they had to punt.

The Patriots are good but I have NEVER seen a team get more breaks and big calls from the officials in my life.

The head but was not even a head but, the NE guy hit the DB for being a hot dog and instead of a stop on 4th down, NE gets a first down on the 23 yard line.

I am rooting for Peyton for finally have a big playoff game next week.

I never want to see "house wreaker" Belicheck celebrate with his kids on the sideline again.

Oh their is no doubt that the New England jersey gets you some free passes at times.

On one of LT's runs, Ellis Hobbs SMACKS Parker in the face right in front of the ref and no call!?

The roughing the passers, the pass interferences, whatever it is...Their is an edge the Pats have no doubt.

The only solace is that the refs also like to pad Peyton Manning, but New England will still get the crucial calls.

I thought the play where Rivers spiked the ball and he got pushed down was bullcrap. That was uncalled for.

I agree that was BS. No foul.

That said, if you're rightly going to call Florence for unsportsmanlike on the headbut, then where is the call on Hobbes when he smacks an SD receiver in the head after the play.

Maybe the Saints are our only hope to knock off the Pats this season. Pats will kill the Bears and Grossman, and Peyton's record too good vs. the Pats. Though, it would be sweet justice were Vinatieri to kick the game winner vs. the Pats next weekend.

Eh, I don't know fellas. Hate 'em as we do, and oh, we do. They are just so fucking good. Yeah, they get lucky and get some breaks, but damn. After so many big wins, you have to give them credit. It isn't all luck, or ref love.

Hell, even losing Vinitieri they don't miss a beat. Yet....

Yeah, I saw the smack, Hobbs was acting like a punk through the whole game and then into the post-game celebration.

Yeah, pretty much typical Patriots. Act like thugs and are rarely called for it.

has this what being a Jets fan has deteriorated into? not only crying when we lose but when the Patriots win.

the FACT is that the Chargers had every opportunity to put this game away and failed to do so. dropped passes, fumbles on interceptions, penalties, you name it. the Chargers dominated this game and still managed to lose it. that has nothing to do with the refs.

Agreed. I had the feeling throughout the game (starting in the middle of the second period and said so to the people I was watching the game with) that the Pats would win because the Chargers were letting opportunities slip through there hands again and again. Dumb penalties, dropped passes (probably about 5), getting sacked to put them out of field goal range, not falling on a fumbled punt, etc.

As soon as the pass was intercepted on fourth down and then fumbled (ugh) you knew that the Pats would come back and win. Brady played like crap for much of the game, the running game was non-exostent and the Chargers still manage to blow it. The one thing about the Pats is that they seem to always maximize their points and their opponents never seem to do likewise.

The decision making by the Chargers CS was truly offensive. Why would you waste a critical timeout when it was obvious that the INT was fumbled? Did you see how long it took them to get the Chargers second play of the last drive off? Why would you not try to get at least a little closer with :08 seconds left? There is definitely time to try a sideline pattern.

You would swear that Belichick has some sort of idiot powder that makes his opponents make stupid decisions.

Look we are acting like total babies. But the facts are that it seems like every time, EVERY FREAKING TIME, the Pats get the refs helping them out.

The Chargers did have every oppurtunity to put the game away, I agree. But the refs screwed them on countless occasions:

-No pass interference calls on Samuel. I saw a Charger jersey stretch a mile long and still no flag. One was actually a game changer.

-The call on Florence for the "headbutt." Please. Zenedine Zidane's hit was a headbutt. This was nothing! The guy walked up to him, started talking to him, then the Pats guy throws him off and its Florence's fault? Please.

-Ellis Hobbs played like he was da baddest cornerback in the league the whole game. Anyone see his move to LT at the end? Anyone see his shameless helmet to helmet contact on Parker after the whistle in FRONT OF THE OFFICIALS FACES??????????

Why don't we just stop calling them refs and start calling them Patfans in black and white jerseys?

Direct your ire towards the fraud Schottenheimer, not the refs.

I can't agree more with this post. The patriots won a game they should have lost and it's not because of the officiating.

Things do seem to go there way A LOT. But you have to admit, they make the most of every oppurtunity they get. SD had many oppurtunities to put them away, they let Brady and the bunch hang around, until finally, Peter Brady sleeps with Schottenheimers wife, ouch.

I agree, he dove, but he was spiking the ball he should not have been touched at all. If that was Brady, the flag would have flown.

There have been times where bad calls have benefitted NE, yesterday was not one of thsoe days. They got alot of breaks but alot of them were unforced errors by SD. SD has no one to blame but themselves.
